Good parking place was about the only good thing.
Secure parking lot was the was good. And the towels were nice. Those were the only good things. The air conditioning didn't work initially, and the two women working there wouldn't believe me, saying the unit was new. After finding a different remote control, they got it going. The room was tiny, though clean. No hot water until I mentioned it... they had to go turn it on. No bottled water available... Not even for a price... Needed to walk to a corner market even for water. No drinks or food available... Breakfast not available. They charged 5% extra for credit card. The city of Granada, a few minutes away, has beautiful little hotels with breakfast included for the same price. So I will not stay at this hotel again.

Beautiful & Friendly!!
Our one night stay was courtesy of our credit card rewards but I’d pay to stay again for sure. We were very impressed with the welcoming & friendly employees along with the beautiful and cozy accommodations. Although the pool was inviting - we didn’t have time to take a dip. Breakfast was offered at an extremely reasonable price but we normally just roll into lunch so we passed on the opportunity. We would most certainly stay here again and highly recommend the hotel!

Rooms require major update
Spent a night here passing through Masaya. A garishly decorated place in communal areas but the room was grim although it had plenty of bed space - a huge bed & another double, but nothing by the bedsides to put anything on - no light besides an awful blue-ish main light. I didn’t feel it was particularly clean. Pillows didn’t smell clean. Bathroom had airbricks around the top to the ceiling & was extremely basic. Couldn’t get shower hot. Sleep quality was not good. I was woken up by the dog barking at 3:15 a.m followed by a loud intermittent buzzing sound which went on for over an hour. Sounded like someone using a drill but for the duration I thought someone was trying to get into the hotel & was too scared to put my ear plugs in. Turned out none of the noise was within the control of the hotel but it is centrally located & therefore you are subject to other nightly noise. The best thing about the place was the manager/reception guy. His English was extremely good, he has a very nice demeanour. It wasn’t overpriced particularly for the quality, however I wouldn’t stay again given the choice but I don’t think there is much choice in Masaya.

NOT HAPPY !!!
Upon arrival, the manager assured us his walk-in rate was better than online. In fact it was higher and didn't include breakfast. When I showed him the info online, he said he can't control what happens online. Also, he clearly understood that we were paying him to book a night tour to the volcano, but booked a day tour to arrive shortly before the gate closed. We paid the taxi driver extra for the night tour so he wouldn't be out any money. BEWARE!!

Clean and safe
I have stayed at this hotel on multiple occassions over the years. It offers clean rooms with airconditioning and hot water. Staff is welcoming and helpful. There is parking and even a small pool. It isn't the Hilton but in my opinion its a great little " motel" i always feel safe and comfortable when visiting. For security reasons the front gate remains locked at all times and for some reason guests do get a key. This i have to admit is a royal pain in the butt as staff is frequently busy so you need to ring the bell and be patient if you want in or out. Rooms are very basic and not very large but again they are clean and comfortable. Good value for the cost.
