Wonderful blissful holiday
After a gruelling bus trip from Manzanillo (DO NOT ADVISE) the bus company told us the bus was first class turned out it was third. Bus driver tried to use his cell phone but we screamed at him to stop. Second driver never stopped eating or slurping coke and driving with one hand and clearly struggling to stay awake. We reported him. We were boarded 3 times by gun rough looking Mexicans hired by the local govt. to check passengers for guns because this road is notorious for robberies and drugs. Very unsettling. Winding road loud music long night. Dreadful!! Made up for it when we arrived at our beautiful authentic hacienda style Mexican hotel. High end. Our room was gorgeous complete with a bath tub and jacuzzi on the deck overlooking the pacific. Great beach, food was super good charming town a 10 min walk, friendly warm people, we spent 5 blissful days ( and nights) in Zihuatanejo. We will definitely be back next year but will sail down from Barra Navidad.

Beautiful hotel, great staff!
After moving out of an inferior hotel in Barra de Navidad, we moved into this hotel for the remaining eight days of our vacation. The hotel was not perfect by any means, but the excellent rates we were offered more than made up for imperfections. Ali and Brenda, the staff, went out of their way in making our stay wonderful. The third floor penthouse, where we stayed, had a direct view of the lagoon, offering beautiful sunrises each morning. The room was large and clean, with a bar, a separate (large) walking closet and a large bathroom. The only other amenity on the third was a kitchen and a small dining area, and from here we had a view of the bahia. The beds was as comfortable as one could ask for, soft and inviting. The AC worked great. The Wi-Fi in the room was strong and responsive. The downsides were some faucet issues and a broken door, but they were nothing more than minor distractions. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
