We enjoyed the week and all the attention El Cid puts into taking care of us. Every staff member is friendly, helpful and works to make us happy! It’s a great place to relax and enjoy! The food is excellent and abundant. The rooms and all facilities are exceptionally clean, well maintained, and attractive. German, who personally coordinated our arrival and our Butlers Orlando and Leopoldo were super good examples of this excellent service.

Rooms were okay, clearly designed to get you to upgrade or join their membership ($59k usd over 20yrs). Food was mostly mediocre. Spa was way overpriced and under-delivered. A good resort if you like to drink alcohol and relax by the pool.

Recommend, worth the money!
We had a wonderful time celebrating a birthday with my family. Our butlers, Alan and Gerson, were very proactive and responsive to every need. From dinner reservations, activities, decorations, help with bags and travel to the airport, they were on top of it. Our 4 year old had a great time in the pool and on the beach, swimming with dolphins, and getting her favorite drinks. The service was spectacular, the accommodations were very nice, our room view/location was incredible, and we had so much fun. The daily activities and nightly shows were entertaining, it was very easy to get around either walking or with a golf cart. The food was better than expected for an all inclusive! I would definitely recommend this place for families or couples of any age! My only complaint was the sales pitch to buy a timeshare with a 19% interest rate after only being there for a few hours. But, sitting through the “welcome breakfast” sales presentation did get us great discounts/vouchers for a couples massage and swimming with the dolphins that saved us $400+ so in the end it was worth it.

Gerson and Alan our butlers made it a wonderful and comfortable experience. It was amazing to have them with us. We had reservations at all restaurants in advance and they helped decorate for my son’s birthday. They stocked our fridges daily and were incredible to work with. Thank you both!!

Great Place to Enjoy
El Cid is a beautiful resort with excellent restaurants, spacious and clean rooms and beautiful pools and beach views. We especially appreciate the sincere desire to serve that every employee demonstrates! We relaxed at El Cid and were spoiled with friendly service. German was exceptionally helpful arranging transportation from the airport and getting us settled. Our two butlers, Leopoldo and Orlando, were very attentive, responsive and helpful.
