Mar 02, 2025Excellent ! The number of return visitors shows that others think the same.
Stayed at the Rui Monica on a number of occasions. The service, food and comfort is far superior to any other Rui hotel that we've stayed at. Even the bar service in thge evening is efficient, fast and friendly. Unfortunately this lets many other hotels down. One of your reception staff, (I think his name is Manuel or Maurice) is by far the best receptionist we have ever met at any hotel. He goes out of his way to satisfy the requests of guests and has been particularly helpful to us over the years. He's an asset to the company..The only reason that I've deducted a point for sleep and rooms is that the rooms would benefit from better soundproofing. People getting things in and out of wardrobes is disturbing early and late in the day..Spotlessly cleanhotel with friendly happy staff, great food and enjoyed the evening entertainment. Would appreciate it if the outdoor pool were heated more in the winter months. though. Thank you for a confortable relaxing holiday. We'll be back.

Really excellent relaxing hotel.Staff are genuinely friendly and food is excellent. Hotel was exceptionaly clean and our room was lovely.

Three week stay at Rui Monica nerja in february
We had a wonderful 3 week stay at the Rui Monica . We were really pleased with the hotel. It was kept spotless. We thoroughly enjoyed the food which was international fayre and particularly rated the breakfast and salad bar for the evening meal. We enjoyed the buffet style menu. All the food was prepared nicely and was excellent quality. Our thanks go to the catering staff,and waiting staff . The room was very comfortable with good quality bedding, comfy beds ,plenty of drawers and wardrobe space for a 3 week stay. We had a side sea view room on the 2nd floor and the rooms were kept spotless Thanks to Carmen and the other maids who were so conscientious. The location in Nerja is excellent seafront but quiet area only 10 mins to Balcon de Europa. We rated this hotel highly and had a thoroughly enjoyable time there. Thank you to All the staff who delivered an excellent service front of house and behind the scenes.

Great hotel
Just coming to the end of a 2 week stay. Everything was great, particularly the food. No complaints at all. If you're not bothered about swimming then February is a great time to go (and good vfm). Tui reps were there for quite long hours. And don't miss out on a lunchtime snack at Ruskins - just across the road.

Seeking the sun
We visited Nerja years ago and were looking for winter sunshine and having stayed in other RIU hotels thought we’d give it a try. Couldn’t have been happier, in fact, couldn’t fault it. A lovely hotel in a lovely spot. Staff very friendly and food very good, so much so we have already booked our return visit.
