Hotel Riu Plaza Espana is an excellent hotel centrally located in downtown Madrid. This makes exploring the city very convenient and easy. The hotel offers outstanding breakfast and has a great rooftop bar with wonderful views of the city and surrounding country. Rooms are of excellent quality. The elevator system does take a little getting used to as your room key is required to operate, but does provide a sense of security.

Great hotel. Rooftop bar was very crowded with non guests which spoiled it. They should limit the numbers better. Ancient not be so greedy as non guests have to pay to enter

Great hotel - rooftop needs organising better
We had a fantastic 9 night stay here, breakfast good and the staff mainly good. The rooftop was too hectic and could be better organised in my view, with one member of staff on the rooftop, very aggressive towards me for no reason other than I tapped him on the shoulder as he 'apparently' didn't hear me asking him a question. But that won't stop me from staying there again.

Nice hotel
Location is perfect. Breakfast is wonderfull. Reception is small for this size of hotel. At the enterance there are some rules like using the doors to go in and out which is disturbing w the manners of doormen. The enterance is narrow for this size of hotel. The rest is super. Roof bar view is fantastic.
