For the money they ask - Stay Away from Xcaret Mexico
Hotel Xcaret Mexico might boast a unique concept, beautiful natural surroundings, and proximity to the parks, but beyond these features, it’s an overwhelming disappointment—especially for families with young children. The lift maintenance was a significant issue. With three lifts near our room frequently out of service, we were forced to walk extra distances to find a functioning one. This was particularly challenging as we had a 2-year-old toddler, making quick and convenient access to our room a necessity. Room service was another major frustration. It took nearly 50 minutes for our food to arrive, only for it to be cold and missing items. When we called to have the missing items sent, it took an additional hour. This level of inefficiency is unacceptable, especially for families with small children who need timely and reliable service. Dining was a mixed experience. Most of the food was average at best, with the exception of two standout restaurants—Xin Gao and Las Cuevas—which offered a much better culinary experience. Service during lunch was particularly poor, with long queues (10 minutes or more) for freshly cooked food adding unnecessary stress to meal times. That said, the hotel did provide convenient snack stations scattered throughout, offering tacos, marquesitas, and fresh fruit. These were a helpful option for quick bites during the day. However, housekeeping was another major letdown. Unless we explicitly called every morning to request service, they could arrive at unpredictable times—9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., or even 3 p.m. As our toddler takes an afternoon nap, having the room cleaned in the morning was essential, but this basic request often required extra effort on our part. To make matters worse, housekeeping didn’t remove empty water bottles or replace them unless we called to ask for water, adding yet another layer of inconvenience. Additionally, the communication in English—especially within the concierge department—was surprisingly poor for a resort that caters to many international guests, including a large number from the U.S. While non-guest-facing staff might not be fluent, it’s unacceptable for guest-facing staff to struggle with basic communication. While the concept, natural surroundings, and proximity to the parks are appealing, the abysmal service, lack of attention to detail, and endless inconveniences make it clear: stay away from this hotel. Families, in particular, will find the experience far from family-friendly. Choose a destination that truly values its guests and delivers on service.

Perfect hotel to explore Xcerat Parks
The hotel is lovely and perfect if you want to explore Xcerate Parks. It is all inclusive and all the parks are included. We stayed only six days which just wasn't enough time. The children loved it and there is so much to do. There is a shuttle service to all the parks. It runs in a loop so, although some of the parks are only 10-15mins away, it can take at least 45mins round trip. The boat from the hotel to Xcerat park is easy and great to take for the evening show rather than the bus. We enjoyed the variety of food. So much for everyone to do.

Beautiful resort with lots of activities and animals!
Beautiful resort, great a la cart food. Lots to do, you won't be bored here! Friendly staff overall, many beautiful scenes to take pictures. Had our wedding here in November 2024, it was even more perfect than I envisioned. The wedding day itself was organized, smooth and beautiful in everyway. Music was great, food was amazing on the wedding day itself! Decorations was outstanding, everywhere we went was a great back drop since the resort is so beautiful!

Amazing and Flawless Culinary Experience
We had a fantastic culinary experience at Fuego Restaurant. Starting with the front staff, Xiomara receiving us with a warm and exciting welcome. The drinks are top notch. The food is excellent! We had a mixed ceviche and the octopus was the star. Chef and manager, Jonathan De La Fuente is phenomenal. He took time out of his busy kitchen to greet us and explain his menu in detail. Everything was prepared carefully and with the flavor and presentation as a top priority. The servers, Pedro and Moli are fun and interactive. They are concerned with making our culinary experience rounded , enjoyable, and leave no detail to chance. Outstanding service with the most care makes us want to return to Xcaret Hotels time and time again We currently stay at Hotel Xcaret Arte but we make the trot over to Casa Fuego for their fabulous restaurant Fuego because it truly has no comparison. We are very grateful and will rerun.

Xcaret México hotel is our favorite!
Great resort, excellent service! Our hosts were amazing, restaurants great as usual! The only thing we were disappointed was the bar, couldn't get "real" espresso martini or old fashioned. Alcohol was "different". Great place for family with kids!
