Can’t wait to go back! The best experience I’ve ever had traveling!

Had an absolutely incredible time! So much to do and see! The food was perfect and the staff were excellent! Dalila Velazquez was our housekeeper and she was incredibly wonderful! So nice and helped me when I had any questions about the resort. I can’t wait to go back and see all the staff again! They really made the trip welcoming!

This place was x amazing. We can’t wait to come back! So much to do in a week we barely scratched the surface. The service was excellent. The choice in restaurants you can try something different each day. The rooms are well thought out. Just a great experience overall.

Couldn't ask for a better resort experience.

Awesome experience all around. The staff was amazing and really made us feel welcome. Ivan Melendez was super kind and always there to help. Dalila Velazquez kept our room in top shape every day and Heriberto (never got your last name, sorry!) always made sure we had a stocked fridge full of our favorite drinks. That coupled with a beautiful resort, a variety of awesome restaurants to try and theme parks to visit, it made for an excellent trip!

    Xcaret Mexico Espectacular

We decided to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary at Xcaret Mexico. We stayed at Casa Fuego. Our room was really pretty and clean, we loved all the decorations and the attention to detail (beautiful view) For our dinner celebration we picked Las Cuevas, food was delicious and the service was amazing! We also dined at Xingao the experience was out of this world, best Japanese food we have ever had. Our server went far and beyond to give us a great experience. We also ate at El Mercado, had drinks at Los Faroles, tried las marquesitas, taco stand, and the vegan restaurant. We ordered room service twice, the food was fresh and delicious and the service arrived promptly. We received excellent service from our butlers Alejandro Barrera y Katya Silva, they both went out of their way to make us feel comfortable at ALL times. They helped us with helpful suggestions, activity reservations, cancellations, money exchange, laundry service, and they even walked us to the restaurants. One of the nights when we got to our room they surprised us with a wine bottle, chocolate covered strawberries and rose petals. They also included a thoughtful Xcaret note thanking us for choosing Xcaret Mexico as our host for our 25th. Both Alex and Katya made us feel the real Mexican hospitality. They both delivered excellent service! Alex stayed with us until we left and he even had lunch bags ready for us to take! 🥲 ALL staff were very attentive and very respectful. All the food, drinks, amenities are top notch. We are looking forward to visit Xcaret Mexico again in the near future. ❤️

A dream vacation turned into a nightmare

The hotel grounds are impressive, boasting a range of amenities. However, the staff requires additional training, as different people provide varying answers, and the restaurants need to improve the food quality. One of us fell ill with food poisoning at Xin Gao. In summary, don’t anticipate a top-notch 5-diamond service, and be cautious of the Mexico Destination Club sales pitch. We arrived at the hotel at 9 am and waited until 3 pm to check in. During our wait, the Destination Club staff (we though they were concierge) approached us with an offer: lottery tickets and travel credits if we attended a 1.5-hour session to learn about the new hotel expansion plan specifically designed for children. At 3 pm we went to check in, they told us that our room wasn’t ready yet and that there weren’t any available two-queen-bed rooms. As a compromise, we decided to stay in the king-size bedroom with a firm and uncomfortable sofa bed. Day 2 marked the beginning of our troubles. We had breakfast with our guide Victor, who was friendly and approachable. However, they only talked very little about the expansion and wanted to sell us a membership. We spent the entire morning (~5 hours) in a lengthy discussion about the pricing, similar to what you’d expect at a car dealership. What's worse is one of our family members got food poisoning by having sashimi at Xin Gao and spent the subsequent two days recovering from the illness. The Destination Club offered us a 20-year membership for $11,000, along with some free nights that could only be used during non-holiday periods. After researching online, we decided to cancel the membership the following day. Despite having the right to cancel within five days, we were made to wait in the sales office for a while. When we made the reports to the hotel, they apologized and said they'd let the Destination Club know. However, upon checking out, we still noticed many salespeople in the lobby talking to the customers. They also mentioned how they'd pick up customers from another hotel and offer them travel credits in exchange for attending the sales pitch. Overall, this feels like a pyramid scheme and it's a shame they're also deceiving many local customers, not just foreigners.
