The Hyatt is as advertised. You will enjoy a comfortable stay here while visiting NYC. Connections via Grand Central terminal provide efficient travel around the city. There are a plethora of dining, entertainment and options nearby. You'll enjoy it ...

Feb 18, 2025Great Hotel, Great Customer Service!
The hotel was clean, friendly and in a great location for getting around NY. We took our daughter for her birthday around Christmas and the hotel was extremely festive and family friendly. Most importantly, we had an issue while we were there and I was very grateful for the excellent customer service we received, specifically from Nicolas in the front office. In a time when customer service seems to be waning, our issue was addressed quickly and with great care. We didn't deal with any employee at Hyatt Grand Central that wasn't friendly, helpful and extremely respectful. We will be back!

This hotel is way below the standard I expect at Hyatt. It was almost as bad as some economy lodgings. I was so disappointed. Breakfast was a barely edible buffet for almost $60 with mandatory tip. Room furnishings were shabby and tattered. No in room coffee maker. Market food ended up in the trash. So disappointed with this Hyatt location.

Amazing staff- refurb required
The hotel staff went above and beyond to make our stay special and comfortable. From upgrade at check in for my daughter birthday to the housekeeping staff providing toiletries and extra robes as my suitcase did not arrive. Room was comfortable, although a little loud due to joking door to next room. Previous stays I have not encountered noise issues but this time we could get guests next door arguing very clearly! I would say I was a little disappointed in the condition of the hotel since our last trip in 2018. I think a refresh/refurb is required. However, the standard of care from the hotel staff is exceptional. I look forward to my next stay at the Hyatt Grand Central.

Terrible hotel! Very tired and in bad need of a refurbishment. $40 per day so called 'destination charge', very expensive mediocre breakfast. Nowhere to sit and have a drink during the day. Outrageously expensive snack store. I would never stay there again!
