True 5 star stay
A true 5-star hotel. Best pool, adult pool, lazy river and lagoon! With beach not to far away (100 steps). The beach 🏖️ has rough surf and some rocks . A cliff (35 feet ). I jumped but my butt is still hurting after pencil diving - seriously consider NOT jumping. For the four of us we spent average with tip $500 per dinner out! The room was sooo nice and comfy. Perfect temp regulation/ shower /nice balcony and cleaning staff.

BEST EXPERIENCE OF ALL!!! Thank you Hyatt Guest Experience from this Globalist's family!
This is one of the best properties in Hawaii, right up there with the Montage Kapalua. However, the kids entertainment and activities set this apart from all the others, along with Celeste, Kristine, and Erin from the Guest Experience crew. They knew it was my wife's 40th birthday, and that we were globalists, always loyal to Hyatt as a rewards program because of their amazing properties, and most attractive rewards program. In fact, it was 12 years ago on my wife's baby moon that we first stayed at the grand Hyatt Kauai, and fell in love with what would be our home away from home. The guest experience team helped us get a suite upgrade that had one of the most amazing room presentations I've ever seen. There was gold, covered chocolates, fresh fruit, a bottle of Vueve Cliquot, and Floaties for their epic lazy river. The suite was decorated more beautifully than I could ever imagine, and they love they showed for us and our "ohana" was literally bringing tears to my eyes. As somebody who travels for work a lot, they made me feel like they were going above and beyond to reward my family for the time they spent without me throughout the year. It's resorts like the grand Hyatt Kauai, and companies like Hyatt in general, that really put their loyal customers in focus when making decisions and executing their business. The globalist lounge provided frequent opportunities for a snack, a drink, or just some thing to do for the kids when they needed to take a break. The endless activities, including the free scuba diving got my daughter, and I taking breaths, hundred underwater in their saltwater lagoon, much more approachable than the intimidation of diving in the ocean for your first time at 10 years old. My wife and I agreed that I believe they have the best my time in all of Hawaii, even beating Merriman's and their Lilikoi foam. Tide pools had amazing food, and the sushi at Stevenson's library was exceptional.

Favorite hotel on Kauai
Amazing property for couples and family and for business! The staff and the location are wonderful. Our favorite amenities were the lazy river and the Lagoon pool - not to mention the water slide so so fun. Loved rhe Gum and the stores and all the fun vendors that would come!. Food was incredible as was their Coffee bar. We were so so happy to be there and can’t wait to go back!!!

Would go back.
A great vacation made better by this resort. The room was comfortable. The view was amazing. The shower almost had too much water pressure. Staff was helpful but not intrusive. Restaurants were varied in what they offered and had great vibes. Pool area was spacious. Beach was well kept. There were bikes available to rent and self service laundry services available to use. Exceeded our expectations.

Only stay here if you plan to stay at the resort the entire time
The resort was beautiful, but if you don't plan on staying at the resort for the duration of your stay the cost is not worth the money. If you are adventurous like us, you will find more value staying at an Airbnb. The hot tubs constantly had kids in them after hours and we had issues with finding parking due to events happening at the hotel or people purchasing day passes for the beach.
