Hotel clearly over capacity: Had to request room cleaning for 3 of 5 nights, hour long lines at breakfast

Title says it all - the location and beach are great, but this hotel clearly lacks the staffing and organizational capacity to host the number of guests who were staying over the busy holiday period (between Christmas and New Years). For those looking for a premium experience, I would find a resort in Wailea or the Ritz instead.

    Good Hotel but

You have to bring your amenities by yourself because they have just big teeth brushes and body lotion and shower room things( shampoo, conditioner, and body soap) No cotton buds or hair brush or so… Club’s meals are so so but need to pay for alcohol…

    Pool under major construction

The pool, which is the main reason we enjoyed the hotel last time was under major construction. There was no grotto or basketball nets and there was construction noise and a large wall in the middle and that was our view. In addition, they normally have showers available to use on the last day for a redeye flight but those too were under construction and no other options made available.

The hotel doesn’t match the category and money

Lots of disappointment and awful surprises. We encountered couple times of feeling being racist. Our first time to Maui is not as expected and relaxing. We kind of begged for better view room and little late check out (even we have status w Hyatt and got insulted that our status is nothing, don’t ask too much). Room are spacious, but lack of tea cups, wine glasses, whiskey cups until asked (they provide paper cups). Even the opener is not clean and rusty… I am really concerned for people who did use and will use it.

    Good stay

Very beautiful property with great service. Many activities for kids to do. Deduct one star for the poor side restaurant. The service is very slow so you were forced to go to the counter and order togos. Then, they charge 15% fee for to gos…also, waiters tend to ignore customers based on race profiles
