Had amazing time at this hotel and loved having the spa and spending time in the pool. The staff was amazing and helped all the things that we needed.the rooms were amazing and had a lovely bathroom and was so good with the disabled shower chair. It was a just one off the best over night we have had.

Mar 28, 2025The worst hotel in the United Kingdom
My recent stay at what can only be described as the worst hotel in the United Kingdom compels me to share my experience in the hope of sparing others from similar disappointment. The standard of customer service was shockingly poor from the outset. Staff members appeared disinterested, unprofessional, and dismissive. Any attempt to seek assistance or rectify an issue was met with indifference or outright rudeness. Requests were constantly forgotten, and simple orders were repeatedly missed or incorrect, forcing guests to chase basic services that should be readily available. The hotel’s cleanliness fell far below acceptable standards. Rooms were dusty, poorly maintained, and evidently not cleaned thoroughly between guest stays. The bathroom facilities were appalling, with dirty toilets and stained fixtures that reflected an alarming lack of hygiene. To make matters worse, there were clear signs of pest control issues, which is entirely unacceptable in any hospitality setting. Attempts to raise concerns with the hotel manager were met with hostility and contempt. Rather than address valid complaints, the manager responded rudely and dismissively, showing no regard for guest welfare or satisfaction. The quality of food served at the hotel was substandard. Meals were poorly prepared, lacking in taste and presentation, and did not meet even the most basic expectations. Coupled with forgotten orders and sluggish service, the dining experience was entirely unpleasant. This hotel fails in every aspect of hospitality, from cleanliness and service to food quality and management accountability. I would strongly advise against booking a stay here. It is clear that this establishment prioritises neither guest comfort nor professional standards.

Nice hotel in a good location.
I had a wonderful stay here last week. The check-in was quick, efficient and friendly and the room had everything I needed. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and gave a good nights sleep. The rooms had everything you needed in terms of toiletries, tea and coffee tray as well as dressing gown and slippers. It was a very nice touch. A very well equipped gym, with a peloton bike. It also has a good size pool, sauna and steam room facilities. Very well located to the main stations.

Fantastic escape for 1 night.
Returned from a fantastic 1 night stay here at the Hyatt, just visiting on a Sunday night, for 1 night just to relax and escape from a busy working period. Using Hyatt rewards to book with meant it was a great value one night too. The sauna, jacuzzi and steam room are fabulous to relax in (however check the hours as on Sunday it closes early, and in the morning they don’t open the sauna early). I booked into a club lounge room and was located on the top floor 24! The room was comfortable and quiet with great views of the city. The club lounge was fantastic. With a selection of great food and drink. The Chinese lady in there was really friendly made great effort to ensure everybody was happy and went out of her way to speak with everybody! The lasagne was incredible. Breakfast was very good too. Served in the main restaurant/ lobby area. Although I was too full from the club lounge the night before to go for everything! But the selection I had from the full English and the pastries were great too! Also some great smoothies. Overall a great stay. Will be back soon. 👍

Annual trip to Birmingham to watch All England Badminton
Another fantastic stay at the Hyatt. It has been my favourite hotel in Birmingham for many years and continues to be so. Level of service was at the usual high standards set by Hyatt Hotels. Very comfortable rooms with excellent breakfast and food in the Regency Lounge.
