    Extremely clean

Absolutely beautiful grounds and the cleanest hotel I've ever been to!! The grounds were kept immaculate, and the room was exceptionally clean and had everything I needed including water which add the extra touch for travelers. Extremely cozy and comfortable

    I will not be back

I am a Hyatt employee and decided to spend my birthday weekend here. I don't think I will be back. The front desk agent I checked in with was very nice he's the only reason this hotel isn't getting one star(hispanic gentlemen with glasses). I decided to do my birthday dinner at the hotel's Watertable and my friend decided to pay for the dinner without my knowledge. I am a Hyatt employee and he was unaware that I get a discount so we got the waiter to refund him and I paid instead. Even so when I got the bill back it still seemed quite high and didn't list the items we ordered which I thought was weird but we were running late so I took pictures and paid for meal and tipped the waiter generously (I will circle back to this later). The room was very nice and the hotel was beautiful to stay at; however, the day of my departure my flight was delayed. I went to the front desk and spoke with a lady to ask if I could get an hour extension due to this. I am an elite member for Hyatt so my check out time is 2pm and I was asking for a 3pm check out. The front desk agent said she was have to charge me a half day rate for the extension I said I would think on it, but I would definitely utilize my 2pm check out. Come 11am I actually had a housekeeper open my door while my partner and I were watching a movie. I had to translate to her that I would be checking out at 2pm. An hour later I get a knock on the door from someone else seeing what time we were checking out. This time I called the front desk telling them to stop sending people to my room. No guest service recovery offered just them saying sorry and "what time will you be checking out?" "3pm" "just a reminder we will have to charge you a half day rate". I checked out and I flew back home, but that restaurant bill just didn't sit right with me. I called the hotel later on and they said they could send over the receipt with the breakdown on what I ordered. Lo and behold I find out that there is an automatic gratuity already added which was weird because we were only a party of 4, and no one in the restaurant told us about this. I ended up tipping the waiter 50% for my meal. The front desk told me they would get the restaurant manager to call me back and a week goes by and no one calls me. So I call again and ask the front desk to get the restaurant manager to call me back. No answer for a week but I finally see a refund the tip I put down, which is a shame because the waiter who I felt took advantage of me not telling me that there was an automatic gratuity still made a his automatic gratuity. Honestly I thought it was real cowardly of the restaurant manager to not give me a explanation on my situation. Again I work for Hyatt I always want to give great reviews and if it was a minor infraction I usually brush it aside. It took my coworkers to convince me to write something on here because I didn't want to. But during this whole time during my stay and my later conversations with the hotel not one time did they try to do any guest service recovery. It was my birthday and I convinced my friends to spend money at the company I work at, but all the hotel did was make me feel like another number and make it seem like they didn't care about these issues. I probably won't get a response to this, but I wanted to make people aware of my stay, and warn people to double check their restaurant bills at the Watertable.

    Stinky feet room!!!

Beautiful resort, right on the beach, several pools. However, my room smelled so much like DIRTY FEET that I could not even stand being in the room. I am surprised housekeeping didn't raise a red flag and let people continue to stay in that room!

    An amazing time.

Beautiful rooms. I almost wished we didn’t have plans so that I would be able to just relax in the hotel and enjoy the balcony. Dinner at Watertable was delicious. The Chilean sea bass was the best….and their bread! Cameron, our server, was attentive and great (despite us dining with 5 kids). The kids’ pool was fun. Unfortunately, one of the pools with the slide had a broken heater. But our group of kids had a great time in the shallow pool and spa. The most pleasant surprise was seeing they offer beach umbrellas, as well as beach chairs, to borrow as we headed to the beach. I will definitely be back.

Best Staycation or Visit from Far

We love staying here and have always had a wonderful experience! We love the beach, spa, fire pits, & all the restaurants offer a wide variety of delicious food choices! Even though we live close by, it always feels like we are far away! It is perfect for family, friends, and pets! It’s a win-win situation for all ages and of course our fur babies get a vacation as well!
