Nov 28, 2024Hidden fees, discriminatory security staff, being made to wait past check-in time for hours.
Unfortunately, we were blocked from entering the hotel and made to stand out in the rain by security staff. Then, we were told our room was not ready (we arrived past check-in time) and to sit in the bar. We were given a vague promise that 'our drinks would be taken care of', but then the bar staff asked how we were paying. Our plans to go to the football game were ruined. We had to wait an hour and a half past our check-in time to be checked-in. We were then asked to pay an additional £50 deposit at the front desk, even though we had paid in full in advance. We were not made aware of this beforehand. This deposit has not been returned yet and it has been over a week (even though we were told it would be returned). This was not a good experience and I would not expect this from a 4 star hotel. However, the wait staff were very nice and accommodating.

An excellent hotel - marked by great service all round, from the front desk to house keeping and back to hospitality. Well-located near the universities and within 30 mins walking distance of most major central locations . The rooms are not enormous (Club ones are bigger than the standard) but well designed so they don’t feel cramped. Club rooms have both a bath and shower and in my view are well worth the extra. I wouldn’t say it is exactly a Hyatt *Regency* in terms of the facilities it offers and the finishes but consistently high standards and service make it an excellent hotel, especially for business stays.

Top marks to Hyatt Regency Manchester
Four of us stayed at the Hyatt Regency last night as we were visiting Manchester for a concert. Top marks to all the staff working in the hotel. Nothing was too much effort!! Helpful and friendly with exceptional customer service skills. All of the staff actually looked as though they enjoyed working there…a rare observation these days. It all added up to creating a lovely, calm and relaxing atmosphere around the hotel. Other benefits include the cleanliness of the rooms and communal areas. A very well appointed multi storey car park just next the hotel made it a hassle free experience to arrive by car. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to all.

What a perfect hotel
What a lovely hotel. It's our first time staying at The Regency Hyatt but certainly won't be our last. Very friendly, helpful service and a pleasant check-in experience. A beautiful room, with super comfortable beds and really quiet too so we had a good nights sleep. In a good location with parking conveniently only a short distance away. We loved it.

Excellent as always
This is my go to home away from home when in Manchester ... Friendly and warm service without fail ... Breakfast always top notch ... The rooms and beds are super comfortable ... I would highly recommend ... My visits are usually business related but it is a family friendly property too
