Nice but noisy location
This hotel is in a great location along the marina at Mission Bay. We upgraded to a marina view room on the 16th floor. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: - Spacious rooms - Friendly staff - Great location Cons: - Close to San Diego airport so jet noise is noticeable. - Other noises from the marina are also noticeable. - Lots of families stay here so there are many children. - Breakfast at the on site restaurant was ok but not great. Service was a little slow and yelling kids everywhere. We probably will not stay here again given the demographic and noise which is too bad because the area is pretty. This is one of the few Hyatt hotels where we had a somewhat negative experience.

Solid Property in beautiful San Diego
Its a beautiful property that's pretty central to San Diego. Awesome views from the balcony. Kids would love this property, 3 water slides, outdoor games such as cornhole, pingpong and some others. You can park on the street to avoid expensive self parking fee.

Leadership Conference complemented by superior hospitality!
The experience we had during our stay at the Hyatt Regency was exceptional. Everyone was genuine and friendly and the service was flawless. It's hard to beat the gorgeous weather and scenery of San Diego's Mission Bay and yet what we were talking about on the plane ride home? The service and consistent attitude of the team from check in to housekeeping to banquets to dining--made us all feel special and appreciated. This is an outstanding team and kudos to the leadership!

No Delighting the Guests
The hotel is tired and needs an upgrade. The service from the staff was poor and not vert responsive. They seem to have forgotten they are working in the hospitality business. The food choices are limited and not always open. It was disappointing that we had to go away from the hotel to get something to eat.

Extra fees on top of reservation to know about.
They charge a $39 per day "resort fee" that covers gym, water fountains, etc. They charge $50 per night for parking. The staff did not mention those fees - I found them on my emailed check out receipt (not even in person). The convenience market closes at noon everyday. The check in process was great & they let us check in 5 hours early. Staff is friendly, rooms were clean.
