Wonderful Stay
Came here mid Dec 2024. We were upgraded to the Villas with a great view. Did not come here with high expectations but left very satisfied. The pros: The staff here were very friendly and provided exceptional service. From the check-in staff, Fernando the concierge, Vanessa and Omar from buffet and chef Daniel to name a few, made us feel so welcomed. Food at the buffet was very good, food truck and burger place also served up very good lunches and snacks. The beach was beautiful, however strong waves while we were there. Good spot for swimming would be the sea in front of the adults side. Cons: The no reservation for a la carte restaurants was a bust. You can only make reservations for the Hibachi restaurant and all others first come first serve. As such I was only able to try the Hibachi and american. Most nights even at 7p unable to get a table for rest of the evening. At the steak house, instead of letting people stand in line for half an hour, the hostess could have easily told the people in line that there were no more tables for parties of 2. Instead waited till people got to the front of the line to be told no space. What a huge waste of time. The American restaurant, menu descriptions are fantastic, however tasted horrible. Rooms are slightly dated but not a problem. However the pillows were thick and hard and gave me a sore neck every day. Nightly shows were also quite boring and the lobby bar lacked any music after 2130 hrs. Besides the negatives, the very friendly staff, good buffet and wonderful beach more than made up for it. Will be back.

Take the GOOD with the AVERAGE / not for large parties
We just returned from a trip to Iberostar Selection with our family of 8 and I hope to share the good and the bad of our experience: 1. Pool and Beach: Really lovely; the normal jockeying for umbrellas and chairs but we did well to secure them in the morning each day. However, the constant asks to be in activities, see shows, listen to a timeshare spiel, get braids, buy family photos or leave a review was too much. We wanted to just relax and be together but this felt like an intrusion. There was also a lot of activities and some obnoxious music in the pool each day. We had a sense of humor about it but it gets to be overdone. 2. Rooms / Resort - exceptionally clean and comfortable beds. A little dated and some of the doors need replaced as they have significant gaps. We paid for partial ocean view and looked at a roof. Overall lobby and lobby bar were a fun place to hang out and play cards and have cocktails too. 3. Food: Biggest downfall and why I would rate this as resort as more AVERAGE than VERY GOOD . We had a large party and guests line up en masse for the first come first served Italian and Steak restaurants. So we mainly did buffet and found our favorites there. Hibachi was tasty but it's portioned out / set menu so no flexibility and many of our older boys left hungry. Maguey Mexican was GREAT but they gave us a hard time about seating 8; unclear why. Same at American Bistro (begged for a table of 8) and that was not good; every meal was cold and not made per the description / delivered with proper sides. Again, left hungry. ***for the most part the professionals in the restaurants and bars were stellar - from servers to hostesses to hibachi chefs and one stellar buffet singer (LOVED him). Hands down we loved the service professionals at Iberostar. SALVADOR and ERLINDA were our absolute favorites out at the pool bar. So kind and lovely. 4. Check in and out - little slow and clunky but people were kind. I wish they had told us how check out was managed as we came up right before our shuttle arrived and had to wait to pay final taxes and gather resort "tickets" that enabled us to leave.

First Night and Already Have Regrets Booking Here. Service not Good At All.
We had a late check-in for our hotel. Since we had not eaten, I asked the front desk about service hours for room service and was told that we will be fine because we had half an hour before they shut everything down so upon arrival to our room we immediately ordered room service at 10:40 PM because it stopped at 11 PM. After an hour of waiting we contacted room service and were told their system showed that we got our food and that it must’ve went to the wrong room. And since room service is now closed too bad. We ended up eating junk food that we already had on hand but I’m still paying for a certain level of service which I’m not getting. Ridiculous! I am so disappointed. This is our first night here but now we’re stuck. If I could find another hotel I would. I hope it gets better.

Exceptional Experience
It is my first all inclusive. That being said it was an wonderful experience. All of the staff were exceptional. Friendly, accomodating, kind and engaging. We stayed in the villas. They were very clean and the cleaning staff were amazing. The poolside games were fun. The entertainment staff was fun. Especially Keyla.

Fine family resort
Very nice staff and clean resort. Food was fine. Was only able to get one dinner reservation for the Japanese restaurant. Everything was first come first serve and filled up quickly. Did have some snafus... like getting locked in a pool bathroom with no handle on the inside of the door and my friend's room flooded next door; which ran into our room, so that took a few hours to clean up.
