    Not Returning to this Resort

Stayed at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo Vacation started out good. But everything went down hill from there. Bad points Food cold/ Food half raw in Buffet. Greek Restaurant not good at all food was just awful Room's not being cleaned Properly. My friend had dead mosquitoes on her floor for 3 Day's. Wasn't cleaned up till we complained. Sheets weren't changed till complained. Housekeeping needs to do a better job at cleaning Broke a glass water bottle in my room. Housekeeping did come clean it up. But missed some glass. Had to complain to the concierge to get the glass cleaned up cuz they missed some. Rude staff in the Buffet Sheets not being changed. When we requested them to be. Food in Buffet not be Labeled properly. My friend has food allergies. Pools could be heated Very cold getting in. Not enough Beach chairs to go around. My friend found a Pease of plastic in her mashed Potatoes Let staff know. But didn't seam to care. Staff did try to fix the issues but we had to complain to get things fixed. One housekeeper was very rude to my friend about her having to change her sheets. Started talking bad about my friend in a different language. Most staff was friendly and helpful. There was always enough pool chairs to go round. Entertainment is pretty good. But should change up the show. So it's not the same show night after night. Dinner buffet should be changed up to different types of meats. Not the same type of steak or same kinds of pizza everynight. This is the worst Resort we've ever stayed. My family and I will not be returning to this Resort. This is our third trip to Mexico and this is by far the worst trip. We stayed at this Resort from January 6th 2025 to January 21st 2025

    Top Notch Resort Will Return

We are avid travellers and this resort is by far one of our favourites! We travelled with kids aged 5-13 and they had a blast with the variety of water activities. From the huge pool that stretches from one end of the resort to the other, to the waterslides, wave pool, lazy river and the beach. My youngest wasn’t tall enough for the waterslides (4ft to ride) and the pirate ship stuff was too “babyish” for her so that was too bad when the rest could go on. The beach is large and beautiful so much room to play. We were here over Christmas so finding a chair in the morning on the beach was hard by mid afternoon much easier. The water was warm and shallow however pretty wavy, which our crew didn’t mind wave jumping! The pedlars on the beach walk by with their stuff but don’t really bother you. As for the food, if you can’t find something you like to eat then you have a problem! There are so many food options from the buffets to the cafes to the taco/burger bar to the various a la cartes. We found the food pretty top notch from all options available. If you’re Canadian you’ll love the Caesar’s and the mojitos are great. If you ask for the name brand liquor they will gladly give it to you. The workers work very hard all day long keeping the resort clean and tidy. Rooms are spacious with lots of storage and counter space. The only downside is the 2 bed rooms have only double beds so if you’re travelling as a family of 4 I’d recommend the king room with the queen size pull out couch. The shopping mall is an added bonus and our kids loved playing there in the evening on the carousel and play structure. My only negatives are the pool/beach chair “game”; if you weren’t up by 7 to grab chairs you weren’t likely to get one (mind you we were there over Christmas break); the second half of our stay it was much better. Secondly the entertainment is lacking between supper and the main show. It would be nice to have music or a singer around the main bar to enjoy. We only watched 2 shows as they started fairly late for our kids (8:45). The other unfortunate thing was that we were unable to get a reservation at either of the 2 restaurants, right from when we arrived they were fully booked. All in all I would definitely return and recommend the Iberostar Paraiso resort!

    Grace Durband at Iberostar

Alexei was so amazing with our entertainment, we were never bored with him around. He was so awesome. The club is super fun and they have a lot of things to do during the day. I had such a good time at this resort I would definitely come back. I would definitely recommend this place to you.

    Good Family Experience

We originally booked at Waves, and then upgraded when we arrived to Lindo. Overall, a great experience. The food was good. Buffet selection was varied and good quality. The a la carte restaurants (the first come, first serve ones) were good (we tried Under the Sea, El Museo, la Hacienda), but anticipate that you might have to be patient and wait for a while (sometimes as long as 90 minutes). The reservation-based ones (El Rancho, Hashiru) were good too. We couldn't get in to the one we really wanted (El Rodizio), but overall appreciated the options. If you're in one room, booking the reserved spots is relatively easy. It's more challenging if you're booking multiple rooms, and in those cases, you have to go to their "public relations" staff (who will then try to sell you on their time shares). The Star Cafes are excellent, especially late at night (or if you have a very early flight). The pools were chilly, but didn't deter my kids from them. There was ample seating near the wave pool and volleyball pool, but definitely harder to find at the main pools. The beach was short on chairs (definitely trying to push people into upgrading to the Star Prestige), but was clean and seaweed free. The lazy river was fun, but "too lazy" according to my kids. They had a blast on the slides and water park. My only complaint is that there is only one towel hut, and at the end of the day, lines can get long to do returns. Our kids didn't do the Star Camp, but I appreciated that they have two timeslots a day where you can use the Star Camp facilities as a family. The rooms were pretty standard. Cleaning was thorough. Just be aware that if you're in building 55, the theatre is very loud. Our kids were fine, but if you have light sleepers or early sleepers, consider a different building. In general, the staff were friendly and ran a lot of events. The app has a daily listing of the day's events. The nighttime entertainment was not amazing, and the many "audience participant" events fell flat. Their singing group was particularly painful. However, the Saturday night "Mexican" show was ok. This is definitely an area of improvement.

Betrayed In Mexico: Iberostar "Hotel Of Horror" Insomnia

I have a serious autoimmune condition that results in total insomnia (think fatal insomnia) if I consume soy. Because of this I am very selective about resorts I stay at. Before booking with Iberostar I called and asked if my autoimmune condition would be an issue, I was told "we are Iberostar, we can do anything". I currently have not slept in 5 straight days and they literally do not give a rat. Like sure they'll direct me through the endless beaurucracy, but I'm not allowed anywhere near the food preparation and my brother who has a less aggressive soy allergy told them not to use soy. His food was then covered in soybean oil which they evidently don't consider to be soy. Why? Apathy or evil i have no idea but the words "criminally incompetent" come to mind whenever I think of them. I'm currently stuck on this resort miserable and unable to eat anything or sleep. I've lost 10lbs of weight I couldn't afford to lose and my sanity and still nothing meaningful has been done. I have tried conversing in Spanish. I have tried intermittent fasting. F*** the Iberostar. They promised me this wouldn't be an issue and I feel like they just don't give a rat about me or the fact that I wouldn't have come to Mexico unless they promised me this wouldn't happen and now that it is they don't give a rat. I hope no one ever stays at this resort ever again.
