Truly wonderful, relaxing and so so chill
My son and I stayed at the Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites in March 2025. While I was a bit nervous based on some earlier reviews - we had THE BEST time and I can't believe the crazy things people complain about. We arrived to beautiful weather, and yes we were early - so our room wasn't ready. Once ready - we were escorted to our garden view room, which still had a nice view of the ocean and 2 double beds, as I was with my child. The first night we had a few small issues with the room (nothing too big) - but I still went to inquire if we could change rooms and/or upgrade. Renece at the front desk was amazing in her help. She sorted us an amazing room (probably one of the best) - it was a corner unit, ocean front and beside the pool. We could hang out on our balcony in the afternoons - listening to the music, watching the activities - or joining in. The team who entertain work so hard - they are amazing. Wonderful singing, dancing, music, gaming and more. The foam parties are hilarious - my son loved that. The lazy river - awesome to hang out. The swim up bar - those guys work hard!! - there's a lot of people wanting a drink and they keep it going. My fav drink was the margarita and the mojitos with fresh mint! I highly recommend an early morning snorkel -there's a mini reef just at the edge of the swimming section and there are the most amazing fish you have ever seen. So colourful, beautiful and all sizes. A previous reviewer complained about people selling stuff on the beach - but they are harmless, very friendly and they won't bother you if you're not interested. As the hotel is sustainable and eco friendly - make sure you have a water bottle. There are a TON of places to get water, juice - you name it. Fill her up - it's all over. I would also get my daily coffee - in a reusable cup - and hang by the beach for a morning chill. The restaurants - food was excellent. No complaints at all. I'm not always a fan of buffets - but if you choose wisely - you can't go wrong. Dinners were fantastic - highly recommend the hibachi - book it right away when you arrive. That's the only place you need to book. I'm gluten free and the hotel had a lot to offer - including the best gluten free pizza I have ever had - which is nuts!! The beach trucks have amazing jerk chicken and pork each day - get there early. We truly loved all our meals - every sleep, every swim and of course - my son's daily trip to the ice cream parlour. Thanks again Renece - you made it wonderful (along with all your colleagues). We will happily return.

In terms of amenities and food, this is very solid resort. Another excellent stay.
Overall: This is a nice resort and if you go you will have a nice time. It is not a party resort, so if you anticipate going clubbing, find a different hotel to stay at. The entertainment is not stellar, but in terms of amenities and food, it is a very solid resort. If you are a cat lover, one of the absolute best part of the whole resort is the cat sanctuary located on the grounds (ask at the lobby). If you visit, make sure to make a pit stop there. Note: There was construction taking place at the resort during our stay in November 2024. It did not bother us during the stay. However, the main dining room was under renovations for the Rose Hall Suites, so the resort had to improvise on meal locations. The restaurants at the Beach resort, next door, were also utilized. The a la carte restaurants, as a result, required no reservations. (Except the Steakhouse) Things we liked: Room: Having stayed at the Iberostar Rose Hall suites (the previous name), I knew we would like the room. The room was large and the bed clean and comfortable. We liked the airiness from the high ceilings and the overall design which felt luxurious and timeless. Large bathroom (2 double sinks which worked well with 3 women in the same room). Even the fold out bed was large and comfortable. Beach: The thatched umbrellas for beach chairs were a great touch and better than synthetic umbrellas. They looked tropical, kept us cooler and offered good protection from the rain. No problems with seaweed on the beach. Food: The variety of food available was another strong pint. The a la carte restaurants had good food and good ambiance. Love the re-fillable glass, as opposed to plastic water bottles. Always happy whenever resorts adopt initiatives that consider the environment. Cleaning: The overall resort is very clean, no musty smells and the rooms were always very well cleaned. Common areas are well maintained. Areas for Improvement: Lobby: Lobby looks dated. My niece pointed this out the first day. (It has been the same for the 3 other times that I visited the resort over the years going back to 2011.) This is a problmen because it is the first impression you get of the resort. It would benefit from being updated. Food and Drink: Desserts were consistently lacklustre but I don't think anyone cares too much about that. Drinks were solid, if a bit inconsistent. You can ask for the same drink two different days, at the same restaurant, and get something totally different. Also the lack of plastic straws is great for the environment, but not so great if you want to have any type of blended drink. They should invest in compostable straws. Beach: Overall the beach is very nice but the water is a little bit too grassy. It would be great if more of the blocked-off swimming area had the grass excavated so that the water is clearer. Cleaning: Small thing and probably noticeable only by "clean freaks" like me; ceramic tiles are not being clean in the areas around some of the doors. This was not everywhere, but I did notice it. To maintain that star rating, cleaning needs to be done in the less obvious areas also.

Iberostar selection suites
Best resort I’ve been to. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The rooms are clean and mini fridge is restocked daily. There is also a wide variety of food to choose from. My favorite part was the entertainment. Their team is very energetic and full of vibes.

Kerry @ Star Prestige
Kerry might have been the best part of the trip. We are Rose Gold Members, but did actually feel like it until we met Kerry through the Star Prestige concierge. Every time someone told us they couldn’t help, Kerry made it happen. Kerry was super tentative and made sure we were taken care of every day. She would text me throughout the day asking if we needed anything in the room, and she helped us book dinner reservations with ease. Thank you for all you did for us, Kerry!

Second Visit to our Jamaican Iberostar Family
Our second visit to Iberostar, Rose Hall and once again an exceptional experience in every respect. Vacation planning begins before arrival and there was excellent communication throughout, facilitating room choice and airport transfer. The welcome at the Star Prestige Guest Lounge, was so friendly and efficient. The hotel itself, is fabulous, clean, spacious, incredibly well maintained, with a raft of excellent facilities, from the pools, to restaurants and the beach. Aside from its stunning location, what really makes this place is the staff. A particular mention of exceptional service, care and dedication goes to our AMBASSADOR, Kerry. Cedric and The Jamaican Zen are just amazing guys to be around. Whatever is required, these guys make it happen. They are quite simply, the best. Leroy and Serene, at the Members Beach area are so hard working, helpful and dedicated to their guests. Shannan from Member Services has been an absolute sweetheart, every day of our vacation. Then there is our first family at Iberostar, Avoun and Ann-Marie. Ann-Marie keeps in touch with us year round. She is the life, soul and heartbeat for us at this location. We feel just like family. There are so many great experiences with so many staff throughout the hotel. They are an absolute credit to the brand.
