    They dropped the ball

Room wasn’t ready when we got there, workers In The jerk chicken shack, and the ice cream shop were not personable at all and barely looked at the customers or spoke to them. When we went to the hibachi restaurant, we had a cook that was not interactive at all, did not do any of the fun stuff that every other chef there was doing. My kids were extremely disappointed. The day we checked out, they charged us a late check out. We got to the resort a day late due to flight issues with the airline and they continued to charge us for that day as well. Yet they wanted to try and sell some membership to continue to stay at other Iberostar‘s. I also never rescheduled our excursion that we missed because of airline issues or refunded us for that either. Rent a staff, the concierge, and the people leading the games poolside were all very, very nice and definitely did an excellent job with the customers. They remembered people’s names, wanted to get people involved and really try to make it fun. Overall, because of the issues we had, I would not be staying at another Iberostar. I wish they would make this right so that we could change this review.

Below average. Overrated and disappointing to say the least.

Positives---very clean and well kept. Restaurants waitstaff attentive and friendly. Negatives--Bar staff rude. Drinks below average and never the same. Entertainment weak except entertainers at pool area. Food below average at restaurants. Buffet food the same each day with exception of one or two items. No coffee anywhere before 7 AM. No hot water upon arrival at room. Never really fixed 100%. 8 day stay only asked for bar service at beach one time 2 different days(and we tipped!!??) Group of 80 young adults from high school 16-18 yrs old drunk every day and being served shots to make a bad scene worse.

    Fun times

The place is very nice. I cant say the shows in the evening where great they were okay. Food was good. Room was allot of walking to get to them. The sea was warm and nice but major parts was.seaweed . And you're on the beach. You have to be careful when you're awakened.Because the tree stumps are hanging out and I stubbed my toe and my foot turned purple 2 days and hurt. I seen a few tripping on them. Be careful. The foam pool party was fun. Rooms basic If you put your cell phone in your bag close to your keycard key card to get into your room it will unactivate your card so you always had to keep your room key in a different spot away from your phone. They have kayaks In snorkling You have to pay $20 American for insurance. When you get there at the place where you Take them out on the beach. They like American money. They do not like to take canadian money at all. It was a nice trip.We really enjoyed it

A wonderful low-key escape, with good food and great service and fun

Great service, fun activities, good food, plus great February weather in the 80s made for an excellent break! This hotel is the least pricey of the three Iberostar at Rose Hall, and it seems to attract a real mix of two- and three-generation families and older couples. Such a staff, so many people, all friendly and helpful. Loved the buffet, huge selection each meal, with fantastic desserts lunch and dinner, and a seafood night with spiny lobster. The hibachi restaurant was tasty and fun, reservation required. Italian had the best bar. But the highlights most days were the pool activities and the evenings, magic show was fun. Like summer camp in a good way, plenty to do without leaving the property, no big decisions, no big lines, and great reggae music playing by the pool to lend a happy atmosphere. Thanks Iberostar

    Family Celebration

This is a beautiful hotel and it's perfect for family, but the maintenance in some areas is lacking. We were a large group, and some persons were placed in the wrong rooms and some rooms were damp and smelled moldy. Whilst majority of the staff were very friendly and respectful, some were very rude, abrupt, dismissive and disrespectful. The atmosphere is perfect for family, so we all had a good time. We were able to overlook some of the shortfalls, mostly because there were some exceptional staff members who made our stay wonderful. I would like to make special mention of the concierge team. Tishauna and Danielle are some of the names that I can remember. The front desk staff were very patient, welcoming, accommodating and very professional, special mention of Hakeem, he was very attentive and available to help when we had any issues. The entire entertainment team were phenomenal, and they truly made the vacation that more enjoyable. Sparkle, Concrete and KK are some of the names that I can remember but the entire team were great! The person that left a lasting impression on me is Sherian Samuda, Waves group coordinator. We had a special event planned and she went above and beyond to help us have a successful and perfect event. Sherian is very friendly, personable and the consummate professional. We couldn't have asked for a better coordinator. I felt like I've known her forever, so it goes without saying that she's excellent at her job. Cassandra from the Suites hotel is the sweetest, kindest person and she became very special to us as well. There's room for improvement but all of these wonderful people made our stay memorable and enjoyable
