Had a wonderful time, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The ember steakhouse was definitely a favorite, all the staff was very pleasant, especially Abraham he was very helpful and made great suggestions for what to eat and explained the menu in depth whenever we had questions.

Iberostar JOIA Paraiso
As always, my week long experience here at JOIA Paraiso Iberostar was excellent. Love the staff, so nice and welcoming. Our butler, Atalia met all of our needs promptly and with a smile. Mirna and Elizabeth at the pools are soo nice and friendly. It would not be the same without them! The food is excellent with lots of variety. Poolside is fun and entertaining while the quiet pool is a good place to relax. The spa offers many options. I utilize the relaxing massage and they are wonderful. Entertainment was much improved this year. Enjoyed the nighttime shows and after hours at Rhapsody! I have returned 4 times and will continue to return to my home away from home!!

Best restaurant!
For dinner, the Mexican restaurant is by for the best food I have ever eaten. The others were great also, but the Mexican restaurant blew the others out of the water. Reyes was an excellent waiter! Gracias I will eat here next time I come to Joia!

The property is somewhat dated and in need of modernizing. Carpets are worn out and weathered as is the painting and decor around the resort. The resort is very spread out - so beware, as you will be doing some walking to get to restaurants/spa/bar etc. they offer a golf cart shuttle but ours broke down and wasn’t available. This wasn’t a big deal because we enjoyed the walk. We booked an ocean front room with a butler. Sadly, the butler didn’t live up to the hype. My husband had arrange for a bottle of champagne to be delivered to the room on my birthday - and we never got it. My husband also requested that we have fresh cream replenished each day for my coffee (because none was offered by the Nespresso coffee pot in the room)…and we had to continue to order it because the butler/housekeeping forgot about it. Room service delivery was very late too. They promised delivery in 40 minutes and we got it in an hour and 15 minutes. The food and liquor selection was better than most all-inclusive resorts that we’ve been to (except the wine offered by the glass which is subpar). Japanese hibachi was great but the Italian became our favorite. Service was exceptional at both. My husband enjoyed the variety offered at the buffet. So, there will be something here for everyone…even for the picky eater. We had fun playing golf. It was very affordable too. So, I would encourage you try it out if there’s a golfer in the group! The beach is beautiful and well maintained. The pool is a bit weathered. I enjoyed they filled it with salt water. The hot tubs were kept rather cool though…not much of a difference from the pool. So in summary, I would not give this resort a 5 star, more like a 4. But we did enjoy our stay and might consider going back again if the price was right. I certainly would not pay extra for an oceanfront room…especially when the butler service did absolutely nothing to enhance our experience. There are other resorts which provide comparable food and beverages at a much more affordable cost while offering those ocean front views we all want while on vacation.

‘A GRAND FORTY SECOND VISIT AT JOIA PARAISO’
“A Grand Forty Second Visit At JOIA PARAISO” I just completed my forty second visit at the Joia Grand Paraiso in February. I was there for two weeks. I also was there in November of 2024 for two weeks. I hate to sound like a broken record, but this awesome resort keeps getting better each and every visit. A repeat guest like me, never knows what exciting new details were added until you arrive. I think this is one of the reasons why I keep coming back to this first class resort is to see the improvements and additions they make to this resort. It also won a Trip Advisor Award for 2024. The staff and the workers set this resort apart from any other one that I have visited. Each and everyone is dedicated to their jobs and they are all hard working people with all positive attitudes doing their daily tasks of work. If you have a question, anyone that you stop and ask will help you out. This is what sets this resort apart from many other top resorts in Mexico. They even have a Butler standing in the front lobby to assist you if you should have any questions. I was greeted as usual from the bellhops and of course they said their famous words, Welcome Home! I was checked in with the help of Ms. Paulina and her assistant Sacnite with their smiling faces. Within minutes, I was taken to my room where I was greeted by my Butler. At this time, if you have a special requests or needs, they will record it on their tablets. This is where everything is documented. The luxury, quality and selection of food, amenities, activities, nightly shows, the pools and the 110% effort given by the friendly staff at this resort, absolutely sets this resort apart from all the other resorts in Mexico. Two of the Lobby Bar bartenders deserve special recognition for their outstanding performance of work behind the bar. They are the Daniel and Dario. They both have great personalities and they will make you the perfect drink you request. If you ask them to make you a special drink. they come out with the best drink you ever had. For those of you who that don’t know this, in August of last year, they opened up a coffee shop that opens up already at five in the morning. It even has cookies and ice cream. This is a dream come true for all the early risers and golf players that want a cup of their favorite coffee before they play their golf games. They also rebuilt the main pool and added lounge chairs, Last year they remodeled the pool bar, Every year the list goes on and on with their remodeling projects. I always like to say that everyone has their own expectations on what to expect while vacationing at a resort. As you read this review and all the other positive comments at this first class resort, give this awesome resort a try. I am sure this resort won’t disappoint you and you will be very happy and satisfied you did. I will be there again this fall to see more changes! The management team never fails to surprise you of their new projects. This is the exciting part of coming for your next visit!
