  Quality and Beautiful - Kahanna Reef #402

  From the moment we opened the door to the sad day when we checked out, this place was a wonderful home away from home. Everything about it was great! The bed was comfortable, the bathroom had a beautiful large tiled shower, the living room just right, the lanai - well, we spent SO much time out there! Morning coffees, dinner at the end of a sight-seeing day, watching the sunsets and daily watching the turtles that were constantly swimming up right along the sea wall. You'd often find us (and others) sitting there with cameras in hand to capture these beautiful sea creatures. The kitchen had all we needed to prepare our meals. A variety of small appliances, stove, microwave and dishwasher (although we never used it as it was just as easy to quickly hand wash our dishes every day). The only "issue" was that the toaster set off the smoke alarm every time we used it. Nothing burnt and no smoke came from the toaster so I guess the heat from it set off the sensor. We did let mgmt know though and I'm sure it was addressed/corrected. Other than that - we'd stay here in a heartbeat again if ever back on Maui! It's at the quieter north-west side of the island away from the busyness of the rest of island so if you're looking for that - this is your place!

  Incredible view!

  Clean, comfortable bed, awesome view! This place has everything we need for an amazing Maui vacation - a well stocked kitchen, updated bathroom and great location. We appreciate the fans to help keep us cool!

  Perfect!

  The location was amazing! And the suite we rented was perfect. Tons of amenities nearby. Lots of turtles that come right up to the rock wall. Nice beach when the tide is low, but you can use the stairs to walk into the water anytime. We will be staying again!

  Wonderful Stay!

  We stayed at Kahana Reef the first week of June. The building is dated, however, it is clean and the ocean view is absolutely beautiful! The unit was nicely furnished and even though there was no AC, opening the lanai window and the bedroom windows kept it cool inside. Opening the front door (there’s a locking screen door) made for a breezy wind tunnel. The grounds were lovely and well manicured. We didn’t experience any noise issues and there was always parking available. Kahana Reef is approximately 10 minutes from Lahaina and 45 minutes from OGG airport. We will definitely stay at Kahana Reef whenever we’re in Maui.

  Superb Location on the Water, Kahana Reef Unit #215

  We spent a delightful nine days at the Kahana Reef condo unit 215. We rented this very nicely decorated 1 BR unit from the owner. The view from the 2nd floor lanai is spectacular during the day and at sunset. While the unit does not have air conditioning, windows open on the land and sea-side to have great cross-ventilation and there are ceiling fans. There is a small beach adjacent to the property. There are coin operated washers and dryers on the premises. While the building is a bit dated it is generally well maintained and there are beautiful plants and flowers around the property. We unfortunately stayed while the parking lot was being totally redone so parking was tight and there was noise from the work during the day, future renters will enjoy the new parking. One tip, do NOT rent a large 2 door car (I made the mistake to rent a Challenger) which is difficult to park in the narrow spots on and off-site...just rent a modest size 4 door for Maui.
