We would recommend the Kauai Shores resort for sure! Novella at the front desk was fantastic!! She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We would come back and stay here again. Highly recommend this location. Great family place.

Great Value and Location
This was definitely one of the more affordable hotels on the east side of the island which turned out to be centrally located to many sightseeing spots on the island. There is an onsite restaurant with live entertainment and it is beachfront with access to a great swimming spot to the south and bike trail to the north. The only challenges we experienced were with the onsite parking (i.e., too few spots and were much too narrow) and the timing of the room cleaning service (i.e., after 4pm daily) which was based strictly on our room location unfortunately. We also weren't crazy about all the chickens running around in the restaurant especially when tables were not cleaned immediately and the chickens jumped up onto the table and started picking through all the leftovers. "Please don't feed the chickens" is ignored by most of the customers but needs to be strictly enforced. The hotel is modern and recently renovated with lots of outlets throughout the room. There was a small fridge, a room safe, and a keurig coffee maker. There were two pools and a jacuzzi which we found to be fairly empty when we visited in November. The hotel is also located within walking distance of a shopping center with a small market, multiple restaurants, and other miscellaneous shops.

Beautiful place with helpful staff and a fun vibe!
What a wonderful experience! It started with the welcoming valet attendants and continued to the front desk staff who make everything so easy. (They saved us when the second leg of our trip accommodations cancelled at the last minute. The staff worked to help us extend our stay and keep the same rooms. What a blessing!) The rooms were clean and very comfortable! We had pool view rooms on the ground floor and it was amazing to wake up every morning, walk out our sliding door and head to the beach for sunrise. The pools and hot tub were cleaned every morning and very well maintained. We loved all the beautiful plants and flowers on the property. Morning yoga was awesome! We used the bikes and followed the path along the ocean. The Lava Lava Restaurant was so delicious and convenient. To be able to sit and enjoy our meals while on the beach was such an amazing experience. The live music was fun! Overall it was a 10/10 for us! We can’t wait to come back!

An Stay to Remember
As soon as we arrived greeter /car attendant was so gracious! He chatted and BFF found that he used to be friend's with his Father who is now in heaven. Check in was speedy with Aloha excelling! Our room was center of the pool and ocean view and right as we walked in a full length mirror with Lights shines A. L. O. H. A. Wonderful idea! Bed comfy, 2 Bottles of Water waiting in the refrigerator. Kauai Coffee is offered too! We will definitely be back! Blessings Kauai Shores on giving us a wonderful staycation! Ms L and Mr BLT!

Our room was far nicer than we expected, and the grounds also exceeded our expectations. The staff was great. Everything appeared to be recently renovated and very well kept. Food and drink was top notch. More of a resort than just a hotel! The loaner bicycles were handy, but could have used some attention.
