Hire an English-speaking front desk!
We are more than midway through our vacation as I write this. Staying in room 4221. The food is just okay. Lots of it and lots of booze and nightly "entertainment." The place is very clean. Transportation is good. The guys doing the transporting are very friendly. The front desk however is an absolute nightmare. This is a primarily English speaking resort. Not one of the women at the front desk understands anything we say. The reservation was messed upon arrival. After traveling for 14 hours we find our 2 queen size beds are actually 1 king size bed. This is a problem since my fiancee snores. Well too bad for us! We were told it would take a few days to get a room with 2 beds. One did come up but it was in a basement and half the size of our room so we said no thanks. Just asked about a room with 2 beds again after yet another sleepless night. The woman at the front desk stared at us, looked at the computer and walked away like she was checking on something. This is not the first time for the "walk away." Just infuriating and disappointing.

A little bit of heaven right here on earth in Huatulco.
Good times at Las Brias Huatulco. It was a pleasure to experience this wonderful resort with its awesome, super friendly staff. Designed as an eco village it offers a vast range of activities and non stop fun. Relax, be active or participate in the many classes. The suites are spacious and well appointed. The food at all restaurants is fesh and tasty. And then there are the countless delicious drinks. It felt like heaven on earth. A special thank you to tennis coach Paco and Freddy and crew from the water sports center. Great job.

Definitely coming back
Came with spouse, we are in 50’s but active. The hills/stairs are significant but we rarely used shuttles and embraced the free exercise. This place does not have the best food/service in Huatulco but it was certainly decent, and a-la-carte options were sometimes excellent. Ultimately, we came for good beaches, and this place has the best beaches, with excellent snorkelling, swimming, and available (free) kayaks and hobby cats. Excellent racquet sport facilities, and other activities. Not the best night life here, crowd is older than some resorts, but if you love being active, going into the ocean and appreciate seeing lots of marine life, this place is for you.

Great Relaxing and Quiet Family Getaway
This is our 2nd time visiting Las Brisas, Huatulco. Checking in/out was quick and easy. The daily housekeeping was fast and thorough. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. The gym was big and one of the nicest I've used at a resort. The buffet was well done for every meal. I couldn't believe the spread that they had for New Year's Eve, including lobster, shrimp and steak! The resort/staff really elevated the experience and put in a lot of work to make it extra special. The beach/water was beautifully calm and warm. The only thing I wished was for some beach volleyball activity. I think it would've been well received w/ guests who wanted a little more than laying on the beach. Lastly, the restaurants were a little disappointing food-wise. We found the buffet more enticing with options to please everyone's taste. Overall, great resort with lots (and I do mean LOTS) of stairs to keep the margarita/beer/pina colada/buffet weight off! Alternatively there are stops where a cart will pick you up for mobility assistance.
