Amazing people.
The lottery was fantastic and Amanda and Ivan were wonderfully entertaining and helpful! I can’t express how much we enjoyed their presence and personalities. They deserve everything positive for their patience and interactions with the guests. Much love.

Las Brises
Excellent stay. Resort was well maintained, pools and beach clean. Lots of stairs (some pretty steep) as the resort is spread out across undulating ground. There are shuttles available to take guests from the rooms to the main resort area if you want. Beautiful and scenic location on the bay.

Las Brisas Huatulco is for those who love Mexico
This was our first trip to Mexico and I don't think we could have picked a better place to stay. Overall, Las Brisas Huatulco is one of the best resorts we have ever stayed at. The beaches were fantastic and were the only ones in the bay that you could swim in. And the added bonus of the coral reef made the beach even better. We brought our snorkelling equipment because we knew about the reef. Not disappointed. The resort itself may be getting old, and the rooms slightly tired, but that seems to be the case at most resorts we have ever stayed at. It does not bother us (or most people) because we are only in our room to sleep, and either on the beach or out on a tour or in town. They are continuing to make the resort better, as we saw a lot of workers making repairs and sprucing things up. One minor complaint - stairs. Oh my, there are stairs. I do not think that people who have limited mobility might do well in this resort. Then again, I have mobility issues and I was OK. And we saw a few people who were much more limited (in wheelchairs) getting around fairly well. There are a lot of shuttles that take you from the lobby to your room. During the day from one of the beach bars they will call a cart for you. There are also a lot of ramps to circumnavigate the stairs. Just be aware of this before booking. The service is superb. The only thing that could be a bit better is the food. While we always found something tasty to eat, a couple of days the selection was not always the best. This is typical of every resort we have stayed at, so not really a big deal, but the food at Las Brisas Huatulco was better than most. The specialty restaurants were pretty good too, with the Kasbah Turkish restaurant our favourite (trust me, order the tea), and the Mediterranean our second. I almost forgot to include the entertainment. There is the nightly show. The performers are fantastic. From the exceptional dancing to the aerial acrobatics (in a couple of shows), to the fire dances in the Polynesian show (actual real fire!), this group made each night special. (Note to Las Brisas management - give these guys a raise) I know we will be back. The location, the people and the overall safety of the Huatulco region makes me understand why so many fellow Canadians like coming here year after year.

Lovely stay at Las Brisas!
Great spot to stay in Huatulco. Rooms are huge, and the property is large with multiple options for swimming (several distinct beaches, several pool areas). It's an older hotel, but kept up with a lot of care. It was easy to find excellent food options -- I'd recommend leaning into the local fare & fresh grilled items at the buffets. Tamales, sopes and other Mexican dishes did not disappoint! While Las Brisas is a bit out of town, the short taxi ride into La Crucecita for the market or evening entertainment is easy and inexpensive.

Amazing week at Las Brisas!
What a great week at Las Brisas! The beaches, the cleanliness of the rooms, the friendly staff, the food are some of the major points that would make this place a do over. Yes, there are lots of stairs so if you do not like to walk, this resort is not for you although the trolleys get you everywhere you need to go. The views are breathtaking. Brought our snorkels but really did not need to have as the close proximity of the reef to the Ventura Beach meant that you could see a wide variety of fish just standing in the water. Service on the beach was an added bonus. We also had the Beach Club service and we enjoyed the nightly 5-7 appetizers and drinks in the lounge - the Mar section, where the Beach Club Lounge is, is the farthest from the lobby but what a view of Tagolunda Bay and the Pacific Ocean! Our room was huge and was well appointed with a comfy bed, walk in shower, large terrace, well stocked mini bar and more small touches like a make-up mirror with make up face cloth, bathrobes, slippers to make our stay special. All in all... a GREAT week spent at Las Brisas!
