Don't expect any Jamaican hospitality at Legends
We visited Legends from partner resort that had use of the beach at legends. We took the resort bus to Legends and when we got there, there were no umbrellas setup. We took a long walk on the beach and swam in the sea and still no umbrellas It was mid 80s with a mix of light clouds and full sunlight so it was unpleasantly hot and sunny. We went to the bar for a drink and the barmaid ignored us for 15 minutes while she talked to another employee, so we went to the bar next door for a drink. After several hours of being in the sun I asked the bar maid if we could take one of the many umbrellas that were leaning in the bar area entrance. Absolutely not because of the bad weather. Still mostly sunny with not a drop of rain. Went out and covered up with a towel to prevent getting burned. Went and talked to Marvis(?) who said she was a supervisor, and she said we couldn't get any umbrellas because of the bad weather. After 4 hours of what was supposed to be an enjoyable 6-hour trip to the beach, we were sun burned and couldn't take being in the direct sun anymore so we paid for a taxi to take us back to our resort. At our resorts the umbrellas were all out and we eventually got a brief sprinkle we never got any weather that would've been reason for the umbrellas not to be put up at legends. They had to men that sat there all day that could've easily put a few umbrellas in the sand and could've put them down if a storm did come up, but it was better for Marvis and the bartender to screw the guest than to do a little work to make us comfortable. Worst treatment I've ever gotten in Jamaica. Today we went to another resort for Parrot heads and had a great lounge chair on a better part of the beach and we paid the 15$ for an umbrella and there was no question about setting it up. A nice young man came and planted it for us. We had a wonderful young lady that brought us drinks in a glass (not a crappy paper cup) and food all day and it was a wonderful day. The umbrella was up all day, didn't blow over and there was no rain. We walked back down the beach on our way home and once again Legends refused to put out the umbrellas, so Legends has no intentions of providing any positive service for their guests. glad we didn't waste a second day there.

We not coming back
I will share my experience with you. I travel in November 2024 to Negril with my other half. We travel quite often and been in many countries. This time we decided to experience Bed and Breakfast, because we usually go for all inclusive. I read that on 7 mile beach there are lots of nice places to eat and enjoy life. We were looking forward to that. We got to the hotel in the evening. The road was quite congested, and we ended up taking three hours instead of one and thirty minutes. The hotel requested a $100 deposit, which is fine. We were given a room on the ground floor 603 on the opposite side of the road, which was OK. We been hungry and decided to go to our hotel restaurant and eat there in first night. Choice was limited, we had one drink each and asked for two bottles of water for the room and the bill was 57$. This price was unreal. Our toilet became blocked on the first night. In the morning we let know the reception and they said the cleaning lady will sort it out. Toilet was sorted. the second night toilet has blocked again. the following morning we went again to the reception. At this point they give us room 701 which was at the first floor. It was no more issues with toilet there. Air conditioner was functioning well. Often we were leaving the balcony door open and enjoying the beautiful nature. Till I did see a rat on the balcony and this shocked me because we been staying at the first floor. Since that moment we kept out balcony door shut at all the time. Being in the room and outside me and my partner been constantly bitten. I don't know what was biting us but was constant and very itchy. I couldn't see mosquitoes. Breakfast selection was very limited. I am not fussy but I have noticed that was only one tray of fruits once they gone, they gone and they not topping it up. So if you a bit late you miss it. Everywhere we had coffee was quite poor, not only in the hotel. Beach was lovely, water clean and warm. We have enjoyed the beach the most. Hotel doesn't provide beach towels. Please get some from home. Lots of vendors on the beach selling various things, smell of ganja everywhere. I paid on the beach for couple of fruits 20$. Beef patties for 4$ were nice. Advice: Don't bring AMERICAN DOLLARS. Bring just for tips. Everywhere in Negril people try to rip you off. They make prices in Jamaican dollars and when you say please tell me in American dollars they ask how much they want. For example 8500 Jamaican dollar is the bill which is 53$. when you mention you will pay in dollars they say 75$. This sort of things are happening in the restaurants on the beach. Be smart - pay by card. At the hotel one fridge magnet costs 6$US. On the main street next to the hotel we paid for a whole jerk chicken 40$ US. We enjoyed the good weather. Try to avoid making our mistakes. We definitely not coming back to this hotel. I will attach the picture of the rat on the balcony.

It’s ok!
We had a nice holiday here despite some negative comments we read beforehand. The food is good, the drinks are good, and most of the staff is friendly. The only downside was the bartender/waiter dude, who was often clueless and kept getting our orders wrong. Our room was kept tidy, and the housekeeping staff were very nice and friendly. The furniture is outdated, and the room in general looks a bit 'tired,' but most importantly, it was clean. Due to the storm, we had no hot water for two days. On the bright side, we didn’t see any cockroaches. The only major drawback was that our room was near the laundry room, so we could hear the dryer running loudly around the clock. The beach area is small but well-maintained. Just be aware of the Germans reserving sunbeds before sunrise! 😂
