Beach is beautiful - hotel prob more like a “2” star - very affordable holiday
This is our second time to Negril as we absolutely LOVE the beach (Sandy bottom, clear, warm - sunshine with very little rain)! This was our first stay at Legends and because it was so very affordable we went with very realistic expectations! The rooms were spacious, clean but very dated! The beds were very comfortable! WiFi coverage was very good even down at the beach! The Bathrooms needed some TLC but were as clean as they could be - sinks and taps needed replaced. Fresh towels provided but NO BEACH TOWELS - the only amenities provided was hand soap bars and toilet paper (no Kleenex, hair dryer, fridge (could be rented for $12 US a day), no coffee maker or microwave, only a few wall outlet plug ins. No card key for the room (instead a key deadbolt and two or three sliding inside locks - definitely could see daylight around the door). There was an in room safe which was great and I must say we never feared we would have anything taken (one day we forgot to lock the safe and everything was intact)! The Patio furniture on the balcony appeared to be dirty and worn which was too bad as we never sat out because of this. The Beach was beautiful but the loungers were mostly broken and were limited (some leave their towels on Loungers to reserve them and then never show up to use them during the day!) Very Safe - we left our backpack on our loungers while we walked the beach without any issues! Be prepared to be asked numerous times if you want to buy some weed or buy jewelry! But we never had any issues after saying “no”! Captain Clarke and Adrien took us on their glass bottom boat to Booby Island, ate the best lobster I have ever tasted - highly recommend this! We were all-inclusive but found out very quickly that the only food that was all-inclusive was the one and only Buffet (everything else was a-la-carte and had to be purchased) so for example a burger and fries had to be ordered and paid for! Breakfast was excellent (but very limited fruit!) - lunch and supper was good but limited selection (did try and enjoyed some of the traditional food!). All-Inclusive selection drinks (alcohol) were also limited - for example if you wanted wine or rye you had to pay! No snacks (I had gotten smart and packed peanuts and pringles!). No Entertainment at Legends but available close by! We stayed on the Beach side and the pool there is very small, in fact we never saw anyone in it! Some of the staff were excellent and some not so much! We spent a day at the sister resort “Samsara” (all-inclusive included) and I would highly recommend this! Beautiful - built on the cliffs but no beach! A free shuttle is available twice a day but was very crowded as it is also used to transport staff! We will be back to Negril but prob will not return to Legends - although we did meet many who return annually! We did have a little issue with our return pick up shuttle back to the airport and found it very frustrating dealing with the front desk staff and the SunWing Rep (even though we booked through Westjet!). I think as long as you know ahead what is and isn’t offered at Legends you will have a great holiday in the sun!

Awesome stay
We had a wonderful stay at Legends, yes the rooms need an upgrade but housekeeping staff kept it clean and comfortable. Beds were comfortable and again it was very clean. There are 2 locations one is on the beach side and other across the street which is referred to as garden side. We stayed on the beach side. Grounds including the beach were raked and properly cleaned every morning. We brought a beach tent with us which is highly recommended since they only have a few sun umbrellas. Hotel guest were mostly senior Europeans but there were a couple of families with small children. It’s not a party hotel which was nice. Do not come here expecting 5 star resort what Legends is, is a comfortable, clean, safe and excellent place to stay to enjoy the beach and its surrounding attractions. It’s priced just right and we would highly recommend it. The restaurant was fine and you can avail of all inclusive for an extra fee. Vanessa our server at the restaurant was wonderful and does her job well. Always smiling and remembered you personally. Delroy a taxi driver that stays just outside the gate is always available to take you were you need to go. He is a safe driver and will take you to attractions as he is a licensed tour guide too. Time Square mall a souvenir stores are right across the street and there are small convenience stores nearby to purchase water and snacks. The beach is amazing. Beautiful clear water and it’s clean, not over crowded with vendors. We will come here again as we enjoyed our stay. Legends management please extend our gratitude to your great staff. They make your resort the special place that it is. See you again.

Not going back.
My 2nd stay at Legends in December 2024 was less than ideal. Unfortunately the accommodations were lacking in many ways including a hole in the ceiling that was never addressed as well as the beach itself was littered with seaweed that no one bothered to attempt to clean up daily. Staff seems uninterested in providing quality customer service to guests. Overall the place is tired and in desperate need of refurbishment, and investment by owners. I personally will not be returning to this location ever again. Negril Jamaica is losing it's authenticity and has become over priced and commercial. Legends was once a great place to lodge and a fantastic jump off spot , but is now run down and unfriendly with an over crowded beach front.

Had another great time.
Went for NYE 2024. Jennifer and Marie continue to be superstars at the bar. Nicholas served us very well. The food was excellent and served with a smile. The Archangel Michael takes care of all of us on the beach. We’re coming back in February.

Your next vacation destination..
Legends is the perfect mix of relaxation and fun. It offers a private, well-maintained beach with soft sand and turquoise water. The rooms are clean and cozy, surrounded by lush greenery that adds to the tropical vibe. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, always going the extra mile to ensure a great stay. The on-site restaurant serves delicious local and international dishes—I especially loved the Jerk chicken melt. Plus, the free shuttle to their sister property, Samsara, is a great bonus for exploring the cliffs and enjoying stunning sunset views. Whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or with friends, Legends is an excellent choice for a memorable beach getaway in Negril. I’ll definitely be back!
