The best hotel we have ever experienced.
TLDR: PROS: food was amazing, drinks and service were an absolute top and the place looks just wow. It a 10/10 hotel - more in complete review. CONS: nothing particular to be mentioned about the hotel, but maybe if your main goal is to snorkel at the beach, this is not the best place - still recommend to do a separate scuba dive trip to experience the marine life. A little bit of seaweed at the beach, but this is nature so they cant really do much about it and they clean it every day. Comprehensive review: Appearance - 10/10 Hotel is modern, well maintained and very well designed. Its a big complex so it might be a bit confusing to navigate through it at the beginning, but you will quickly find the way to your favorite spots + you receive a map at the check-in and the map is always available in the app. Wifi works almost everywhere, except some spots at the beach. Its not the fastest, but suffice for surfing, posting etc. Drinks - 9/10 The hotel offers a huge selection of cocktails and alcoholic beverages not only local, but also famous brands. The app is really helpful at this you can view the whole menu and see exactly what they have. A small negative is the beach bar, which only has a limited selection of the drinks, mostly pinacolada, daiquiri, beer and mojito. All can be prepared with or without alcohol as you wish. Every drink is nicely decorated even though it comes in a plastic cup - which is not a negative, you cant expect to have glass around the beach or pools where it can shatter and cause injuries. All other bars such as lobby bar, english and sport bars etc provide a beautiful and delicious drinks with a complete selecion and sometimes there is even a special drink of the day that you cant find on the menu. As mentioned the 1 point was deducted for limited availability at the beach bar, when it comes to appearance and taste thats 10/10. While at the beach or pool, there are employees that go around with a wheelbarrow full of coconuts that you can buy for 5$. Food - 10/10 There is a huge selection at the main buffet (Atlantico and Caribe restaurants) - one for adults only (no need to have an adults only package, if you are over 18 you can go there) and the other one available to anyone. I can imagine if you stayed for 2 weeks or more it might become repetitive, but there is so much to choose from that you can taste something new everyday even if the overall selection remains the same. Beach restaurant has limited variety, but its closer to the beach, so it depend what it more important for you. For dinners I recommend to book the a la carte restaurants, they are really good and allow you to taste something different every day. Overall in the main buffet there is a plenty of meat and vegetable options, seafood selection, fish, pizza, pasta - almost anything you can imagine. Beach - 8/10 Beach looks great, the only minor issue is the seaweed, but again, its the nature. They clean it everyday but sometimes there are spots full of seaweed in the water that dont look good. You can have a long walk to both sides to see another hotels, and if you go far enough (probably like 1,5km to the right) you can find the beach that has no hotels. Beach really long, full of palm trees, there is enough sunbeds and space for everyone. The buoys limiting the space for swimming are a bit too close to the shore, but there is quite a big slope so it suffice for swimming (I assume the depth around 2-2,5m). There is quite a lot of boats and yachts that sometimes play music, but its not very frequent so it doesnt really disturb you. It just might not be the ideal space for photos, but you can walk a bit to the side and you will reach the beach that doesnt have any boats in the background. If you plan to bring a snorchel, just dont, at least if you have any other snorkelling trip planned, there is not really much to see there except for seaweed and rarely a fish. If you want to properly see and experience the marine life I recommend booking a scuba diving trip (for some you dont even need any certification). Pools - 10/10 The main infinity pool is breathtaking. Its so big that its never too crowdy. Sunbeds around the pool might be an issue if you come after 10am, but even if nothing is available, you can check the other pools or go to the beach and there will be something free for sure. Water temperature is similar to the sea, maybe a little bit warmer. Activities - 10/10 Hotel has everything you need. During the day there is animation team playing voleyball and a lot of other beach sports. There are kayaks at the beach that are free, so you can take it and go exploring (just watch out for the boats) At the main pool there is music playing throughout the whole day. In the evening there are shows in the theatre sometimes live performers at the lobby bar. You can play pool or other games for free at the sports bar. Or you can pay about 12$ per person for bowling. At 11PM club is opening so you can head to a party. The club looks great and I heard its the biggest club in Punta Cana. There is also casino so you can try your luck or just sit down get a drink and enjoy the beautiful resort. Staff - 9/10 Staff is always helpful, bartenders are smiling and doing a great job. If you dont speak spanish it sometimes might be difficult to communicate as they speak quite fast in english that is not perfect so you might have trouble to understand them. But there was never an issue that we couldnt commicat and I always got what I asked for. Some waiters didnt act very friendly, but they did their job really well and I can understand that you can have a bad day and you cant smile 24/7 so again no issues. Overall - 10/10 The hotel looks fantastic, offers great services, food and drinks. You have room service 24/7 and minibar included in all inclusive. Wifi works. AC works (it could have been better in the lobby, but that happened only once). Pools are amazing and beach is really nice with a white sand and turquoise water, but with seaweed - quantity depends on weather. Not really a good spot for snorkelling but I doubt any other hotel in Punta Cana has better conditions.

Get here now!
What can I say except perfection. The dedication to service, the happiness and professionalism of the staff, the amenities, the food, the rooms, and the drinks are 5 stars. The only reason I would choose beaches over this resort is if you have teens and you want them to run around at night without you. But beaches, Turks and Caicos has NOTHING on this resort. This is the best resort we will be back! Whoever did the planning of the resort, the hiring of the staff and the menus needs to be recognized. Currently staying at the resort now so a very current review!!!

Would not recommend!! Reviews must be from paid actors
I would never return to this resort—where do I even begin? First, they falsely advertised a free airport shuttle, which was nonexistent, and good luck trying to get someone to answer the phone. The food was awful, tasting like unseasoned hospital food. I was so excited to try authentic Dominican cuisine during my first visit to the DR, but this was a unanimous disappointment for my entire group. Making reservations for the specialty restaurants was a complete hassle. Thankfully, we had a butler who assisted us, or we wouldn’t have been able to secure any. When it rained, several walkways flooded, causing one of our group members to slip and fall. The staff’s response was to quickly put out wet floor signs and move on, showing little concern. I wouldn’t recommend this resort at all—go at your own risk. The only reason I’m generously giving this place two stars is because the staff were very kind, though most of them didn’t speak English.

Review for families with kids
We are here for a week in Dec 2024, overall I would not come back here again or recommend it because of the following reasons: - The room service is very low quality. Very inflexible in making small changes to the dishes, like we wanted plain pasta instead of with sauce, they said No, look at the menu. We asked for fresh strawberries, they said No. The toast we ordered for breakfast was very hard and cold. The coffee in room service was cold. - The servers and staff are a hit or miss. Some of them are very helpful and serve with a smile, while others serve with attitude or a frown on their face, almost like they dont like that we are asking for something from them. - There is very very loud party music at the pool with obscene words almost always at noon. There are times when the music is chill and family friendly, but its very less. - There are a lot of boats right outside the hotel, so the beach is not very calm and relaxing. Its a lot of party boats with loud music. - The juices seem artificial. Some of the good things about this place: - When there is no loud music, the property is really beautiful, especially in the evenings and early mornings. - The restaurants, especially Atlantico and their staff are very good. Some servers are a miss but overall good. - The boulevard area is nice. - There is a mile long beach that is good to walk, once you are away from the beach right in front of lopesan. - The waterpark is fun - The onsite arcade is fun, its paid.
