Feb 18, 2025Pleasant Hotel in Quieter Location
The Lotus is a smaller hotel (for Honolulu) with a laid back atmosphere & lovely staff. We enjoyed our stay but have a few criticisms. The hotel does not offer breakfast - something we forget to confirm as this is standard in hotels for Canada or Europe. Luckily, there is a good place for breakfast on the waterfront, at the hotel next door. We were upgraded to a room on the top floor - but it was the room for disabled guests. We should have asked for a change as the beds sagged & the walk-in shower on the sloping bathroom floor had poor water pressure. An upgrade should imply a decent bed and not just a good view. There is no place to have a casual meal at the hotel but there is a find dining restaurant which we enjoyed one night. We have bumped up a 3.5 star rating to 4 stars simply because of the friendly, helpful staff.

Great location at Waikīkī Beach.
Great location at the Diamond Head end of Waikīkī Beach. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Anne and Melvin.

I loved my solo stay at Lotus. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. (Shoutout Melvin) cannot beat the location on the quieter side away from hustle and bustle. Rooms were super cute, bed was comfy. Walls were a little thin at night time but no biggie. I loved the beach chair rentals and the bikes!

Fantastic stay
The room was great, amazing view of Diamond Head and the beach. Beach chair and towel service was very convenient and appreciated. Water station downstairs was our most used amenity. Melvin was super helpful and always had great ideas for places we could go. Rhian welcomed us when we first arrived and was a great help throughout the stay. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to our next stay!

Lotus Honolulu Stay
The Lotus Hotel's excellent location was perfect for my wife and myself: a nice walk to the bustle of Waikiki but far enough to be removed from the crowds. This boutique hotel exceeded our expectations. Katie, Anne, Melvin and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Small beach 30 second walk and larger beach just a minute away. We plan to return!
