  Almost a 5 star resort

  We stayed at Cayo Levantado. The resort is beautiful and the staff is excellent. I would consider it a 3-4 star resort. We did have some issues. The biggest one is we had paid for a plunge pool and it did not work. The water was so cold that we were not able to use it the entire time we were there for 4 nights. I had brought this to the attention of the "ambassador"-Angel with no effort made to resolve it with the exception of an apology. This did add close to an additional 1000 dollars to the stay. We stayed for the Superbowl and the food that was served was disappointing andnot in line with the meals that the resort offered. The resort does not have a manager on site it has "ambassadors", which are basically front desk staff. It would be a 5 star resort if it had better management and addressed the needs of its customers.

  Everything and MORE!

  Amazing!! We have been here for 24 hours and this resort has exceeded our expectations! The people, the food, the room!! It is everything the website says and more! The health/wellness aspect of this resort is awesome! We have LOVED yoga, sound healing beach walks.. and did we mention the food! And add the drinks! From the lobby to the beach bars.. fire show and disco! On Bicardi Beach! The coffee shop and lobby bar! We are planning our next trip already!! TYSm Cayo Levantado! We ❤️u

  The Hidden Paradise You’ll Never Want to Leave!

  So…we’ve been to the Dominican Republic many times, but nothing has came close to our stay at Cayo Levantado. If you’re looking for a place that feels like a private paradise—where stress melts off you like butter—this is it. From the moment we arrived, the level of service was next level. You can tell this place runs on a culture of hospitality, because every single restaurant we visited had incredible service. As fine dining restaurant owners ourselves, we appreciate when a place gets it right—and this place nailed it. A few people really made our trip unforgettable: • Jefris was one of the best servers we’ve ever had. You could feel how much he loved taking care of guests, and that’s rare. • Our ambassadors, Eddyl & Angel, were absolute pros. Anytime we had a question or needed something, they was on it—24/7. They remembered what we liked and made sure everything was perfect. • The gym was fantastic, and Juan, the instructor, was awesome. He made me feel like I was the only person there, always encouraging and helping me stay on track even on vacation. • The whale-watching excursion through the resort was breathtaking. The crew got us close enough to see the whales and their calves while being super respectful of them. • The water flotation therapy was something my wife and me will never forget. The staff helped us fully relax in the water, and it was just… pure peace. And the food? Let’s just say every plate was photo-worthy, but even better, you could taste the passion behind it. The love for the history and culture of the area is woven into everything, making you slow down and just enjoy. This place isn’t a crowded tourist resort—it’s a hidden gem, a real escape. We’re already making plans to come back. If you want a vacation that feels like a luxury dream on a secluded rainforest island, don’t even think twice—just go.

  Carribean perfection

  This resort exceeded all our (very high) expectations. A big congratulations to the Management team and their staff. Not sure where to start from, but basically the most high end all inclusive experience, even for those people like us who usually avoid all inclusive resorts. The location is absolutely stunning, private pristine beach, incredible natural tropical vegetation and incredible views! The F&B is our biggest positive surprise, the food is so varied and so absolutely delicious that it certainly competes with the most luxurious chains like The Four Seasons/ Aman - a big congratulations to the Chef and the F&B manager. Despite the low occupancy when we visited, they made sure each evening and lunch they operated at least two restaurants so we had such a great variety to choose for in our four days spent there. We appreciated a lot the mix of international options while making sure the local, seasonal and traditional dishes of this incredible country are also a great highlight on the menu. We had previously stayed at another luxury hotel in Samana and they only had burgers, club sandwiches and Cesar salad- what a shame!! The service is also great, the staff are very well trained and very friendly, it feels like they are happy to work there, which gave us a nice feeling. They created a team of ambassadors (special thanks to Ivan and Eddyl) that are basically like a concierge helping you with whatever you need, they are super helpful and it makes your stay so relaxed, as they put together the program for you on a daily basis and remind you of your reservations. In terms of activities, the options are unlimited literally, each day there is a wide variety to choose from, make sure not to miss the sound healing session with the most amazing and motivated Luzdivina and the breath work at the beach with lovely Mahalia. Also the DJ mixing latino songs at sunset on the beach is a beautiful way to immerse the guests in the beauty of the local culture ! The rooms are absolutely stunning, the design overall in the hotel is really insanely beautiful. The interior designer must be a real artist. If you are into health and fitness this is also the place for you, they offer a wide range of fitness programs and even nutritional advice and healthy food, something us at least in Europe have never seen at this top level. Oh yeah and if sustainable travel matters to you, this hotel will certainly not disappoint: you wont find any plastic bottles or straws, all amenities in the room are packed in paper instead of plastic and they dont offer buffets when they are on low occupancy in order to avoid food waste. This hotel raised the bar considerably, we need to do a lot of research to find our next destination without being disappointed 😉 well done and we will definitely be back and spread the word about this paradise!

  Little paradise!

  Cayo Levantado is a truly amazing resort. The staff goes above and beyond to please you :) Best kept secret, so quiet, perfect place to reset and enjoy the Caribbeans! The resort itself is breathtakingly beautiful. Thank you for an unforgettable stay :)
