Definitely not Luxury!
Overall we enjoyed our 2 week stay in December, however it definitely was not a luxury 5* hotel. PROS Specialist restaurants and their staff were the best. We went to one every night. Trolley buses we enjoyed and were frequent Drinks are proper branded drinks CONS The staff are very much tip orientated Never had to queue in a line at a specific point to get a drink at the bar! Lobby very small and uninspiring Chairs old and very stained. Beach bar stops serving at 3.15!!!! The specialist restaurants and trolleys saved this holiday but the whole resort needs an update. The staff are miserable and don’t want to do their jobs which is a real shame as on previous visits they have been fun and interacted with you.

Amazing Stay at Bahía Príncipe Sian Ka’an!
We just returned from 10 incredible days at the Bahía Príncipe Sian Ka’an, and it was everything we hoped for! This resort is tucked away in the jungle, about 2.5 km from the ocean. The setting is so peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect place to unwind and recharge. Even though it’s not right on the beach, the resort has a handy tram system that makes it super easy to get around the entire complex and reach the ocean. Honestly, we didn’t mind the distance at all—Sian Ka’an feels like its own little private escape, tucked in the jungle with plenty of shade, which was perfect when we needed a break from the sun. The staff? Absolutely incredible! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, always making sure we had the best experience. A special shoutout to the entertainment team—Gracie, Alfonso, and Alexander—who always stopped to chat with us and brighten our day, and to Wilson, who took great care of us during breakfast and lunch most days. The two lovely hostesses at the buffet greeted us with the warmest smiles every meal, which made us feel so at home. The food was great, especially the à la carte restaurants, with lots of options to suit any taste. Plus, the whole resort was spotless, which we really appreciated. If you’re after a peaceful and relaxing getaway but still want access to the perks of a larger resort, Sian Ka’an is a fantastic choice. We loved it so much we’re already thinking about going back.

Amazing holiday
Excellent service staff go over and above to make your stay safe, comfortable and entertaining. The manager Gregory Shaw was very helpful to me and my friends. He interacted with staff and customers a welcoming smile. The dining room and bar staff were extremely accommating. I have been traveling to this resort for many years and look forward to many more. Thanks keep up the good work.

Great service and beautiful place
I would rate Bahia Principe Luxury Sian Ka’an a solid 4/5. While the hotel offers a beautiful location and excellent service from its staff, a few aspects leave room for improvement. The private beach, although well-maintained, isn’t as stunning as some might expect, and its distance from the hotel requires reliance on the shuttle service, which can be inconvenient at times. Additionally, the à la carte restaurants, while offering a variety of cuisines, sometimes serve food that arrives cold or has an odd taste, which detracts from the dining experience. That said, the tranquil setting amidst lush surroundings, the cleanliness and comfort of the facilities, and the staff’s dedication to ensuring a pleasant stay make it a great destination for relaxation. Despite minor flaws, I highly recommend this resort for those looking for an adults-only retreat in Tulum. Let me know if you’d like to adjust anything!

Disappointing Service Despite Nice Ambiance
Great room and ambiance, but they could significantly improve by hiring staff who truly understand hospitality and professional ethics. My experience at the restaurant was deeply disappointing. One staff member, a captain named Luis, was particularly unprofessional and seemed to lack respect for personal boundaries. At one point, he placed his hand on the shoulder of a young female friend in our group, which was extremely inappropriate and unacceptable. She had to step away from him as he tried to brush it off as a joke. This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional but also makes guests feel uncomfortable. I expected much better from an establishment like this. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. Very disappointing experience.
