The staff provided an exceptional experience and the hotel provides an old world Caribbean setting. Wonderful island views with in a restful setting away from the standard tourist hustle and bustle. Steven the bartender poured an excellent Manhattan as the restaurant maintained a relaxing vibe with tasty food

Great Location, Great Views, In My Price Range
I want to see places like St. Thomas, but I have to do it as inexpensively as I can and still be comfortable. The Mafolie was the right place for us. The rooms were clean and spacious enough, beds were nice, all we could ask for. The view from our room and all around the hotel was beautiful. Nice little complimentary continental breakfast every morning looking out over the city, now that's living. Parking is a little iffy, getting down to the pool is a little difficult, but that's part of staying on a mountainside overlooking the city and bay.

Comfortable and beautiful!
Stunning views. Great hospitality. Very comfortable room. There is no restaurant in the US that can surpass the ocean views here. Balconies are private and the pool and pool deck are perfectly in line with the old world ambiance of this hotel.

Also make sure you write your review a few days later they charge you if you do a bad review… The only good thing is the view…. This hotel looks nothing like their online photos. Everything about the hotel is old not remodeled. The pool looks old too. The staff has a condescending demeanor and to top it off nothing is close by. And the cherry on top …. They are charging us $250 dlls for a broken table that was already broken when we got to the room. We have messaged them about it and they had an attitude towards it. We did NOT break any table. All the furniture in that hotel is old. Our TV was broken too and the set up was akward…. Is rustic and honestly not worth $300 a night. The broken table was not even worth $250 dlls! Our only mistake was that we didn't take any photos for proof. We didn't think they were gonna charge us for something that was already broken. Now reading the comments about people getting robbed has me nervous this hotel is trying to scam us.. we will be disputing with our bank if they do not comply. They also had the audacity to compare themselves to the Pink palm hotel which is beautiful…. ( highly recommend staying there instead) The lady in the front desk said They are a-boutique hotel like ours. No mam your hotel looks more like a hostel not a hotel

Island Charm
This is an old hotel that has suffered from the severe storms in the past few years, but that doesn't detract from the charm. The hotel is on a cliff overlooking Charlotte Amalie and has one of the best views in the islands. Open your window, feel the breeze and watch the changing colors of St Thomas. The staff are wonderful, helpful and fun. The restaurant, though damaged, is reported to open early in 2025 with a great local chef. Can't wait...always our Go To place in St Thomas!
