Trip # 18 to the DR (our fav)...trip #10 to the Majestic Colonial (our VERY fav). Many thanks to Jorge Mora (GM) for his generous gifts to us as returning guests. -Requested room given (2233) upper floor , pool overlook, side view to ocean -Spa visit ( great massage) -Dinner on the beach ( full moonrise...wow) We've visited many resorts over the 4 decades of Carribean vacation travel and have found our favorite...the MC. Why ? -Great bang for the buck and perfect size, for our desires. Dislike huge resorts with overcrowding. -Great staff with smiles, warmth, friendliness. Marisol in the buffet, Martina in Le Gourmet we've known for years and feel like family. Everyone seems happy to see you (I realize its their job and they appreciate our money) -Well maintained, stunning pool ( especially at night!) -Great beach...tons of new sand added since last years storm erosion...thank you for something many would take for granted if a new visitor. -Buffet has very good selections and a redesign with addition of separation benches with comfy cushions and foliage plantings. -Le Gourmet is high end dining with great ambiance. In summary...already looking forward to next year ! (especially as we returned to Boston greeted by 7" of snow and -5 degrees where we live. Ugggh.)

Wonderful week and wonderful staff
We stayed in the Adult Club section of the resort. In building 4, so view of the outside of the resort, and the next Majestic club. We were on the main floor, which was handy. We spent most of our time on a quiet area of the Family pool. We found it nicer and more open than the adult pool. Better for swimming/playing catch with a ball etc. And close to the activity area for Zumba or Water Exercises. Our Butler Willier was great. He was always available to help. He got our reservations, organized room service breakfast one morning. He also helped by sending some Gatorade when my son's girlfriend was having some gastric difficulties. We ate at all the restaurants/buffets and always found something to eat. At the steak house we did feel that although we ordered different steaks, they all seemed the same. This was while the renovation was happening. The meal also took awhile to come to us. We did the a la carte breakfast one day. That was also slow, so didn't do that again. Other than that the service was always wonderful. We never had to wait to get into a restaurant. We usually would have breakfast at the beach buffet. It was unfortunate that it opened at 9, but we would grab something to eat at the Club room if we were up earlier. Nothing like a view of the ocean while you're having breakfast!!!

Second time definitely not our last
Absolutely wonderful, our second time at this resort. We stayed in the Colonial Club and our butler was Jesus. There was nothing that we could ask for that he couldn’t provide, checked on us everyday and was a pleasure to get to know. At the club swim up bar we met Domingo… if you get a chance to get to know him you will be one lucky visitor, he became our friend fast and we will always keep in touch with him. Domingo is very genuine and will do anything for you. Enjoy every minute at this beautiful resort if you choose to go here, it’s truly paradise!!

Best Experience Ever !!
When I say Maycol is fantastic, I really mean it ! This man goes above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied with every food you receive. I would definitely recommend when you come here to ask for Maycol! I can’t wait to return in the future! Great experience!

Return Trip Worth It
My husband and I returned to Majestic Colonial for the second time in two years, and we were not disappointed. From the check-in to the check-out, it was a wonderful week and an unforgettable vacation. We stayed in a fantastic swim-up room connected to the pool, which is a must—it's definitely worth it. Our room was conveniently located between the restaurants and the spa, one of my favorites, as I had visited it twice during our stay. The "Animation Team" provided fun pool games and activities I looked forward to daily. There are also quieter pool sections for those who prefer a more relaxed atmosphere. The beach is right there and always has a chair or two available. Many restaurants are available for evening meals, or you can opt for the buffet, which features a nightly theme. Reservations are needed for some specialty restaurants, so make sure to do so when checking in as they are well-known. Guest services are available to help with anything, and I often went to them to answer questions. The nightly shows were entertaining, or if you prefer a quieter evening, you can enjoy an Espresso Martini at the piano bar. The staff throughout the resort were friendly, helpful, accommodating, and courteous. The staff at the buffet, no matter what meal you're there for, is outstanding!! I would also like to give a personal shoutout to Guest Services Manager Marta Aliaga Maso, who was consistently helpful, kind, and available during our stay. We will definitely be returning for another vacation at Majestic Colonial!!
