Wonderful all-inclusive resort
This all-inclusive resort was wonderful! The staff was so welcoming and helpful. Spectacular grounds, pools and beach. All restaurants were top notch and wait staff was phenomenal. We would definitely stay here again. This experience changed my mind about vacations in Mexico being dangerous.

Beautiful resort with great food
Just got back from our first ever visit to the Majestic Elegance. We decided to spend more this year an go to Mexico instead of our usual less expensive destinations. Worth the extra money for a beautiful newer resort with nice rooms and great restaurants. A few things to know about this resort. Adult Club vs Family sides - Unlike most resort that have an adult section attached to a family resort, the Majestic is more like an Adult resort with a few family wings. Wings 1-4 are all adult club, while wings 5-6 are family; there are 3 wings total with rooms on each sides of the wing. Now the family side is not overrun by kids, when I did see families, it was mostly couples with a young child (less than 5 y. old). If you are looking for fun and entertainment by the pool, the adult side seemed to have more going on, although they did have lots of entertainment on the family side as well. Rooms - We were on the family side, Wing 5-6. We requested a Jr. suite swim out. On arrival, we were given room 6009, facing out of the resort. It had its' own private pool, not connected to the other pools like most swim out. That was OK, but they are building another wing on that side of the resort, and there is construction all day long. Really not quiet or pleasant to look at! We got moved the following day to the other side 5008. This was a great swim out, but it is shaded all day. Wings 1, 3, 5 are all shade all day, wings 2,4,6 get sun all day long. The only negative is that wings 2 to 5 face the inner pools, and the music and entertainment is really loud. So much so that we moved again to room 5019. This makes us sound very difficult, but we enjoy sitting our our patio or balcony and read or have a coffee. Room 5019 was wonderful, facing the beach, quiet with our own little pool and hot tub. The rooms are a really nice size, great king bed, plenty of drinks in the mini bar and nice hot showers. I need to send a big thank you to Pamela at the front desk for being so accommodating and patient with us. Food - Like many resorts there are different restaurants to choose from. The quality of the food was our biggest surprise. I never expect too much (we often go to Cuba), but the food was beyond our expectations. Each restaurant has it's own feel and style, our favorite was the French, more so for the romantic atmosphere. The steakhouse was fun and probably the most popular, felt like going to the Keg. Great filet mignon! Do not miss the beach restaurant, great seafood selection during the day and at night. The buffet was great, but make sure to try them all. Entertainment - This is a large resort, so they bring in shows in the evening. Our favorite was Mexican night, the buffet is outside, wonderful food, and Mexican singers, entertainment. White night was also good, with a wonderful show down at the beach. Beach - Wonderful beach, cleaned up every day. Lots of chairs and shade, very comfortable cushions. They have a few waiters taking orders as the bar is a short walk away. Yoga/gym - We did yoga by the beach in the mornings with Ariel. Wonderful basic yoga or stretching to get us moving in the morning. Love the cold clothes they give at the end, nice touch. Ariel is a great. Also went to the gym for some runs. Great facility, lots of cardio machines, weights, etc. Easy to get your workouts in while away. Lastly, the staff is wonderful. Very pleasant and helpful, lots of smiles. They ask everyone about food allergies or special needs every time you go to eat. This was really noticeable and if you have any specific food needs, this is the resort for you. Would give this resort a strong 4.5 stars.!

Majestic Magnifico!
Well, we just returned and I'm not sure where to start this resort is outstanding. We've been to many resorts in the Carribean and Mexico. Majestic Elegance ranks in the top 3. The staff is the highlight, everyone will say Hola, answer any questions you have or direct you to what you need. We had an Ocean front room 3220 and the view, proximity to the elegance club lounge and beach was excellent. The grounds are pristine like no other, many good food options at the restaurants. Pretty much an all adults with several babies on the family side. The pools could have been laid out better, but we didn't care, we're beach lovers. If you're not a fan of weddings, don't come here probably had 10+ in the 6 days we were there. Beach: Expansive, white powdery sand and great for long walks, best we've been to in Mexico. On most days the waves were fine, on the red flag days just be careful entering/exiting and you will be good to go. The best thing I liked was being on the beach and seeing the hotel zone way off in the distance and the reason why I picked MECM. Staff: We had Henry as our butler, he was awesome and readily available at our beckoning call. Henry would book our dinners and really took great care of us. You'll be lucky if you get Henry to be your butler. Big shout out to my favorite manager Raul, we had a hiccup one night at the Italian restaurant, the next night Raul made the experience 100% better. Kudos to the Danielle our hostess, she recognized us everywhere we went. Next my beach bar brothers from another mother: Isai, Abraham, Luna, Moises, Alonso & last but not list Cauich (K-Which), see photos. Entertainment: Something going on every night, so you'll never be bored. Shout to my Hombre 'Cowboy'. Summary: We don't typically return to the same resort as we like to explore other options, if returning to Mexico we would seriously consider MECM again. Trust me as I'm an avid traveler, don't give MECM a second thought, just check the glowing reviews and book with confidence.

Quick Birthday weekend getaway in Costa Mujeres
Review: Wonderful Birthday Getaway in Costa Mujeres We booked a quick long weekend birthday getaway for my husband and chose this resort for our first visit to Costa Mujeres (and our 10th time in Mexico). Here’s a detailed breakdown of our experience: The Highlights • Beautiful Beach: The most stunning beach we’ve ever seen in Mexico. • Cleanliness: The resort was impeccably clean. • Restaurants: Organized and efficient, with minimal to no waits. • Room (Once Upgraded): Spacious, modern design, comfortable beds, and well-equipped with a coffee maker, espresso machine, kettle, fridge, and steamer. Room Experience • Initial Room: We booked a swim-up suite but were initially assigned a room in the 1000 block. Unfortunately, this felt more like a plunge pool with a gravel pit view and no lounging space for sunbathing. • Room Switch: After two nights, we were moved to a proper swim-up room. This upgrade made all the difference—it had ample sunbathing space and a swimmable area directly in front of the room. Suggestion for Improvement: Install tilting wall mounts for TVs to make them easier to watch from the bed. Activities & Entertainment • Sports Bar: The go-to place at night! We enjoyed watching a boxing match and MMA fight on the big screen, as well as a fun karaoke night. • Mexican Night: Great food and lively music—highly recommended. Butler Service Our butler, Isaac, was exceptional. He communicated with us through the app, assisted with our room change, and made helpful restaurant recommendations. He was always available and attentive to our needs. Pools & Weather • Pools: While not heated, they were manageable. • Weather: Unfortunately, two out of our four days were rainy, but we made the most of it. Final Thoughts We’re looking forward to returning for a week-long stay to fully relax and enjoy the resort. However, we would only return if guaranteed a proper swim-up room (not in the 1000 block, which we felt was not worth the extra cost). The staff seemed genuinely happy and were a joy to interact with, adding to the positive experience. Recommendation This is a fantastic resort, and I highly recommend it to others! Gym Experience • Equipment: The gym was well-equipped with cardio machines, free weights, and weight machines. • Condition: Some of the weight machines felt dated and sticky to the touch. • Etiquette: Many guests lacked gym etiquette, often leaving equipment unwiped after use. • Atmosphere: The gym didn’t have the most pleasant smell, which was a bit off-putting. Great kids club
Diana and Alondra at the Kids Club were excellent. Our little boy lit up when he saw them! The kids club was a highlight, even though our boy was only 1. They had plenty to do indoors, and each day they had other activities like horse back riding (even though he just sat on the horse). We liked how the resort was laid out, the beach and pools were excellent. Our only negative was that the music during the day and late at night was very loud for a little one sleeping not far away. Luckily we had a sound machine :)
