    Disappointing Service and Unfulfilled Promises at a Luxury Resort

    I recently stayed at Majestic Mirage in Punta Cana, booking the Sky View Suite for a significant amount, expecting a luxurious experience. Unfortunately, the reality fell far short. Upon arrival, I was made to wait two hours to check in, only to be told there was a technical error with my room. I was informed I would be moved to my reserved room the next day and offered a $100 credit as compensation. However, the promised room transfer never happened. I followed up several times and was repeatedly told to wait, with vague timelines that were not honored. Late in the afternoon on the second day—while I was preparing for my brother’s wedding events—I received another call about moving rooms. Given the disruption this would cause, I requested to stay in the current room to ensure I could get ready in time. Since the resort failed to move me as promised, I asked that they reimburse me for the price difference, as I would remain in the lower-category room for the rest of my stay. The next day, my butler (assigned personal concierge) came to my room in response to a maintenance request after the breaker went out. During their visit, they mentioned speaking with the staff and informed me that management had decided they would not provide any additional compensation, stating the issue had already been resolved with the $100 credit. However, this credit had only been offered for the first day of the inconvenience, not the rest of my stay in a downgraded room. For a resort of this caliber, the service was disappointingly lacking. The management’s handling of the situation was unsatisfactory, leaving me feeling undervalued as a guest. While the property and amenities were beautiful, the lack of organization and poor communication overshadowed the positives. I had high expectations for this stay, given the price and reputation, but unfortunately, I would not recommend Majestic Mirage to others unless significant improvements are made in customer service and accountability. It’s a shame that such a well-reviewed resort fell so short of delivering the experience promised.

    Fantastic

    Naftaly, Stacey, and Miguel Angel Vicente were all very attentive and very welcoming. All of the staff were fantastic and the place is beautiful. There were a lot of food options and all of the food was delicious. Montero was our butler and did a great job showing us around the resort, booking our reservation, and answering any questions we needed.

    Great Resort!

    The Majestic Mirage treated us so well! We had an amazing time the food was delicious especially the steak house. The animation team made our time by the beach and pool so enjoyable! Especially EJ, Katherine, Ashlin, Carlos, and Kenny. When we come back to the Dominican Republic we will definitely come back here.

    The people here are amazing so sweet! We absolutely loved getting to know some of the people! The food was great and the entertainment was fantastic! Already looking forward to coming back again! Ashlin and Ej are the best people! Love them!

    Exceptional Service and Unforgettable Experience

    We had an exceptional stay, and I would like to take a moment to recognize the outstanding staff members who truly made our experience memorable. Elena, the General Manager, went above and beyond in ensuring everything ran smoothly and that all of our needs were met. Yeimi, the Assistant Manager, was equally impressive, offering excellent service and a personal touch that made a difference throughout our stay. Yelitza, the Rooms Manager, was attentive and incredibly helpful, ensuring our accommodations were perfect. A special thank you to Luis at the Steakhouse, whose service and attention to detail made dining there an unforgettable experience. The quality of the food, paired with his warm hospitality, made for a truly special dinner. Lastly, Jerry at the Piano Bar deserves special mention. He is fantastic, and he really added something special to the atmosphere. His cocktails and sense of humor provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing evening, and I would happily return just for the experience at the Piano Bar. After visiting the hotel 10+ times, it truly feels like a home away from home. The consistency in excellent service and attention to detail makes each stay as enjoyable as the last. Overall, this team truly elevated our stay. Their professionalism, friendliness, and dedication made all the difference, and we’re grateful for their excellent service. This hotel definitely stands out because of the remarkable staff who go the extra mile for their guests.
