    Fantastic Beach Front Location

This resort is a unique one in the Kihei/Wailea area. Because of its unique location and the building layout, every room gets a great beach view. The beach is lovely and close. There are great sunset views fron the lawn. This is probably a 70s or 80s building and as a result does not have all the amenities of newer buildings. But the location here is unique and totally makes up for any other issues.

The perfect destination for our Maui vacation

What else could you want when it comes to a place to stay in Maui? We just wrapped up a week at this location and we’re pleased with every aspect of our stay. Room 801 suited us well. It was bright, clean, and comfortable. The extra wide balcony was the perfect place to for wonderful views. The landscaping is all in perfect form with both a Sandy beach and a nice grassy area. The pool is nice with plenty of chairs and umbrellas. The 808 store on the property has a lot of greasy food items and really good coffee, as well as lots of those things you may forget to bring from home. You can stay at a more expensive place in Maui, but I don’t know why you would.

Wonderful place to stay in South Maui

I'm biased, but the view from the top floor (especially Mana Kai 805) is beyond compare. You can see out to Molokini, and during the winter there's a ton (heh) of whale activity. A beautiful long beach abuts the property with good swimming and also a great reef for snorkeling, and there are typically lots of turtles. The hotel grounds are pretty and have space for chairs, and while Mana Kai is not as swanky as the Wailea hotels, it's cheaper and also not filled with those snooty White-Lotus types. There's an 808 Deli onsite for quick bites, and supposedly an onsite restaurant will open any day now (but not as of Feb 2024).

A awesome stay at the Mani Kai

I had reservations in Kaanapali that we decided to cancel after the Lahaina tragedy. However, I called and spoke to Juliet at the reservation desk. Juliet hit it out of the park and convinced my wife and I to come. The condo she booked us had great views and was very clean and comfortable. Everyone from Austin at the front desk. Winston the general manager made sure our visit was impeccable. The main manager Doug was so friendly and informative. Kim and I decided to come back next year again in September. Thank you all for making this trip happen and showing us what the true meaning of Mahalo means. We Vic will see you next year! Billy and Kim Burgen say aloha!
