Don't waste your money
Compared to almost every other all-inclusive that we have stayed, this is about the worst (especially when considering the cost). The room is nicely sized and looks fine. But there are no drawers to store a week's worth of clothes and only 4 hangers in a 2-ft closet. The Ocean Front room (BLDG 2) was probably not worth the cost as, most days; there were 1-2 huge cruise ships docked for the day, blocking our view. That's on top of the building and trees on the right of our room. The food was just OK. You could find something to eat in the buffet but it was kind of hit or miss. The specialty restaurants were unimpressive. There was no attempt to make an atmosphere in the Mexican and Turkish restaurants. The Italian was the worst and the BBQ the best (but not by much). The service was non-existent at breakfast and lunch. Nobody to bring you coffee, juice or wine. All self-serve. I've never had that at an all-inclusive before. Bar service was usually so-so unless you got a great bartender. The "beach" was only about 100 yards long, so there were no beach walks. Very disappointing. The ocean view was partially ruined by the cruise line dock and a rock jetty that runs about 75 yds off the beach. The stairwells were completely dirty. Never swept at all. Cobwebs, french fries, dead roaches, dust and dirt, paper wrappings, etc, The maid service was spotty as well. Sometimes, they would take dirty towels away and never replace them. I could (and our group of some 30 folks) all write a very long negative review. But the bottom line is that we would never come back, nor would we recommend this resort to anyone! This "resort" is NOT WORTHY of the Hilton Curio Collection.

A Mixed Stay at Mangrove Beach Corendon Hotel by Curio – 3.5/5
Our recent stay at the Mangrove Beach Corendon Hotel by Curio was truly a mixed experience; there were memorable highlights, but also several issues that kept our overall impression at 3.5 out of 5 stars. Room & Housekeeping: • The first issue was with the main door latch, which wasn’t affixed properly, leaving us concerned about security. • On Tuesday, someone entered our room while we were out and left a new coffee maker on the desk without plugging it in or providing supplies. Oddly, there was no housekeeping service that day, no fresh towels or overall cleaning. • The biggest issue by far were the mouldy-smelling pillows and mattress. When we brought them to the front desk, they acknowledged the odour. Unfortunately, the replacement pillows had the same musty smell, which was a significant disappointment. We encountered others at the resort who experienced the same issue with mouldy smelling pillows. Cabana Experience: • We booked a cabana for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. While service was excellent on some days, on Wednesday the fridge wasn’t stocked until 11:25 AM. The cabana also hadn’t been cleaned from the previous day—there was sand all over the floor and sticky drink stains on the fridge cabinet. • A major bright spot here was Sideye, who provided impeccable service in the cabana and in the restaurant areas. Dining & Bars • The à la carte service was somewhat slow, but overall the staff were friendly, and the food was generally good. • Specialty restaurants fill up quickly, yet there appear to be many no-shows, as we noticed multiple empty tables while being told they were fully booked. • Bar service was mostly good, though occasionally on the slow side. On one afternoon (Wednesday around 1:00 PM), they had run out of lime, pineapple, and mint, and the bartender wasn’t sure when more would arrive. Facilities & Amenities: • The lobby ATM was out of service for most of our stay, which was inconvenient and made it hard to properly tip staff who went the extra mile. • Beach quality was a highlight—plenty of chairs, never overly crowded, and the water was wonderful. • Public areas were in decent shape, but we did spot broken tiles, empty paper towel holders, and a broken/missing flush mechanism in the men’s washroom near Dushi Sushi. Staff & Service: • Some staff members were absolute standouts. Tootie (housekeeping) and Sideye (cabana/restaurant) were attentive and went above and beyond, a couple of absolute stars! Bartenders Tyler and Santos also deserve special mention for their friendly demeanor. • However, the majority of the staff seemed to do the bare minimum, which gives the impression of either being understaffed or overworked. Overall Impression: The Mangrove Beach Corendon Hotel by Curio shows potential with its beautiful beachfront, good food, and a few exceptional staff members. However, the mouldy pillows, inconsistent housekeeping, and the generally blasé attitude of much of the staff brought down our experience. A few key improvements - like resolving housekeeping issues, restocking more efficiently, and addressing mouldy linens would go a long way in enhancing this resort’s appeal. Despite the drawbacks, there were moments and people who made the trip worthwhile. With some targeted changes and better maintenance, this property could live up to its promise. For now, we would rate our overall experience a 3.5 out of 5.

Unprofessional and complacent staff
Very unprofessional resort. I did a 6 day solo trip to solely relax. The AC stop working in my room day 3 of my vacation. I had to physically go to the front desk 4 times within 24 hours because staff doesn’t answer the phone at front reception and I ask staff to correct the situation. There was no follow-up until yesterday (the second last of my vacation) .The repairman brought a ladder and a box with some gadgets. He fiddled around for approximately 10 minutes, he told me he would be back in 1 hour but never returned leaving the ladder and box of gadgets in my room. It was so hot in my room for those 3 days. I had trouble sleeping at night. I’m returning home today and I can’t wait to leave this place. I’ve NEVER felt that way about one of my vacation ending until I came to this resort. Also, the a la cart restaurants were terrible but the buffet was OK. This resort is not like others where you’re served beverages when seated. Staff tells you and you are required to get your own beverages and utensils. Another disappointment is they do not change the bed linen. I slept on the same sweaty sheets my entire vacation. My experience at this resort was absolute trash!

Don’t waste your money
Don’t waste your money. Advertised as all inclusive but you cannot get a reservation at any of the restaurants so you only have the buffet. The buffet lacks taste but there is a wide variety. As a gold member, I was told at check in that they do not honor your Hilton status unless booking directly through Hilton. This is the first time I have ever been told this and most of the time I don’t book directly through Hilton. Most of the restaurant reservations are reserved for gold and platinum members. Positive side is the staff are really friendly and very diverse in multiple languages. They are willing to share the islands history and culture.

Very uncomfortable beach chairs!
Staff was friendly…Food was actually pretty good..Food was much better than what we had at Sunscapes on the same island..My issue was with the beach lounge chairs..Very very uncomfortable..Could not believe a Hilton resort would have these cheap uncomfortable chairs.. They were marked made in Italy to top it off..They need to take all the chairs and get a metal compactor and send the mass back to Italy!
