    Very good hotel with a couple of inconveniences.

    Overall, the Maui Coast hotel is a very good property and conveniently located to most sites within Maui. This review is limited to their new building and the nearby pools and restaurant within the hotel. We stayed in an ocean-facing room, which was very nice. The views of the mountain and the ocean (with whales in the distance) were very nice but from our room the sunset was obstructed by trees in a beachfront house across the road, so we had to walk down to the public access beach across a busy road to see the sunset without obstruction. As a couple looking for a break it was not ideal, but it is a very good option for families and groups. We do have the following suggestions: 1. The bathroom has a motion-activated light switch which turns on the bright lights when you walk in. It is very convenient during the day but extremely disruptive and annoying in the middle of the night. They need a better night light option. 2. There are two pools (and hot tubs) but neither seems to be designated adults only, which can be annoying for people taking a break and seeking a kids-free option. Therefore, this property may be a better fit for families. 3. Public beach access is across a busy road, so people with young kids need to be aware of it. Otherwise, it is a very good property, and we would consider it for a family trip in the future.

    Great Hotel

    Great hotel and the staff was amazing! I would stay here again. I especially enjoyed the front desk staff, very friendly and helpful.

    Horrible, smelly, dirty room and extremely rude front desk

    This place was literally repulsive. The room smelled and was filthy. My husband had reserved a room on the 4th floor and they gave us a room on the first floor looking at the parking lot. We asked to move and offered to pay more and the extremely rude front desk people said there were no rooms available. Of course the website said otherwise. Asked to speak to a manager and of course none was available. We ended up leaving. They seemed to think we weren’t going to have any other options. Customer service is non existent at this hotel and the photos are completely misleading. Definitely do not recommend.

    Friendly staff, Great Location

    Located across the street from the beach, the hotel is a great location to relax, walk on the beach and enjoy Maui. The rooms are large and comfortable. The waterproof wristband room keys were fantastic, and you did not have to worry about losing a keycard while swimming or playing in the sand. We will definitely stay here again.

    Ocean Views and Warm Hospitality

    This hotel is an absolute gem! The staff were incredibly welcoming, and the amenities were top-notch. My room had stunning ocean views, truly breathtaking. The location is perfect for exploring nearby attractions. I loved the pool area and the dining options offered delicious local cuisine. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway
