Apr 20, 2025A Week in Paradise April 11-18
Our check-in was smooth and seamless. We arrived later in the evening and the buffet was closed but the Balance Bar had pastries and there were sandwiches and wraps. We walked around the grounds and they are spectacular at night. There were water features throughout the property and perfectly placed lighting to create the most beautiful, peaceful atmosphere. In the daytime, there are fountains in many ponds, and there are also peacocks, ducks, and many other types of birds. There are swings with padded seats hanging from large palm trees in a couple places. There were also some benches set way back from the main pathway where you could sit and read in the shade or just sit and contemplate the beauty of it. We found the food very good with a ton of variety. The vegetables and fruit are so fresh. Every meal had some Dominican choices plus something for pretty much every palate. If you are looking for burgers and fries and such, you won’t find them here. Breakfast and lunch were at the buffet beside the beach. The view was spectacular. Dinner was in the building with the lobby. There were also two à la carte restaurants, but we only went to the Mediterranean one. It was so good we went there twice. We never had a problem getting reservations and the service was quick and professional. We don’t drink so I can’t speak because to the quality of the alcoholic beverages, but there were a few cocktails that were very good without alcohol and there was actually nonalcoholic beer that was quite good. The pool seemed very nice and clean, and there were lots of loungers available around it, but we stuck with the beach as it’s our thing. The beach was very clean and we never had a problem getting loungers under the shelters or at least under a palm tree, even though we didn’t reserve anything in advance, and we usually didn’t go down till after lunch. The water was warm and the bottom sandy. We didn’t find seaweed on the shore and very little in the water. There was a buffer that encircled the swimming area that helped keep the waves down so we never found swimming was an issue even on a windier day. The room, like everything else on the resort was immaculately clean and kept that way by wonderful staff. And it was the staff that took our stay from very nice to very special. Laysha the egg lady,Tomas the trolley driver, Juan Ramirez our minibar guy and Emilia and so many others in the dining rooms. See you next year beautiful Melia.

Food was good, beach got annoying with so the locals trying to make money off you.. there was little to no entertainment and no music except for only 1 hour a day

Excellent Experience
We have nothing but positives to say about our stay at Meliá Punta Cana Wellness Resort. Our level garden wellness room was spacious and perfect in every way. The resort, beach and pools are all meticulously maintained. All staff were very friendly and helpful with always a happy hola. Our trip was made especially special by two staff members. Eduardo “Eddie” took care of our every need. Dinner and spa reservations were promptly made upon our arrival. Any requests were delivered with a smile. Our anniversary trip was showered with a special bottle of wine, cake, and the room decorated with rose petals, balloons and extras. Eddie took care of our early morning departure with assistance with bags, check out and private transportation. Great job Eddie! Antonia took care of our room daily. We felt comfortable knowing that she took her job seriously and a clean tidy room was her goal everyday. She always did this with a smile on her face. Lastly, we would be remiss not to give a shout out to our shuttle drivers, bartenders, waitstaff, towel attendants, yoga, spa and front staff.

Melia level
We had a wonderful family trip. Staff was kind and ready to help with anything. We stayed wellness side Level and that’s the only way to go! Exceptional restaurant service by Pedro Ortega. He always had a smile on his face and remember all our details! We were family of ten with allergies and he was very helpful. Adriana bartender at the level pool restaurant side made us the best drinks and was always the most positive person of the day!! butler service by Nathan as exceptional and very helpful making reservations and keeping us in the loop! Praise to those three as they made our trip!

Buffet service staff seems like they dont want to work there. Room tv poor reception quality, limited food selection at Buffets. Toilet stopped functioning but was fixed promptly
