Aug 29, 2024Centrally Located in Panama City
We spent two nights at the Victoria Hotel on a visit to the Panama Canal. It is centrally located between the airport and the canal. You can take an Uber anywhere in the city for about $10. The rooms were nice and comfortable. The is a rooftop pool which was enjoyed by the kids. Breakfast was not included in our rate, but there is a grab and go across the street, and there are many dining option within walking distance.

It is a very nice hotel, well located in downtown Panama. The rooms are big and well equiped. The breakfast is good, with variety. The restaurant is open till late at night for dinner. There are restaurants, car rental and shops nearby. Good service

Feb 16, 2024Unhelpful and Disrespectful Front Desk Service
I rented a car from which shares the building with the Victoria Hotel. I get to Avis and they’re closed until 1pm. I asked the front desk if she could hold the key and I will call and tell them that she has the key. The lady said NO. She said to call them and get their approval but I can’t because they are closed. I speak Spanish so there was nothing lost in translation. She didn’t want to help. A manager was there and simply walked away. Bad service. Bad attitude.

Oct 12, 2023Smelly, dirty and noisy hotel.
Dirty and smelly hotel. We left for a better hotel after a few nights of bad sleep. The air conditioning smells like sewage and makes so much noise that you can't use it if you want to sleep. Because you can't use the air conditioning and there is no further air treatment it becomes too stuffy in the room so you can't sleep well. The overall hygiene is below decency. Mold on the ceiling, dingy furniture, worn and dirty bathroom. Upon presenting our findings we were allowed to move to another room but we were told beforehand that all rooms are of the same quality and the air conditioning problem is also the same everywhere. Because everything in the hotel is finished with tiles it is super noisy. When you are in your room you are bothered by everyone talking in the hallway or if they leave their room door open. We took our financial loss and left for a better hotel.

Typical city hotel
The hotel offers a good location, spacious rooms and a rooftop pool. The staff was generally friendly. The breakfast was really bad though. The breakfast room is too small for a hotel if this size and the variety and quality of the food was not satisfactory. No healthy options available and they use a lot of unnecessary plastic.
