Disappointing and unacceptable accommodations!
First let me start by saying I am a Palace Elite Member that has visit the adult only resort in Cabos and the Moon Palace Cancun family resort. We booked our family Christmas vacation for Moon Palace Jamaica back in February of this year. That is 11 months ago! We are a party of 15 so we booked 5 ocean view rooms with double beds, along with one of those rooms being ADA accessible to accommodate my mobility challenges. When we arrived at the hotel yesterday we were informed that all of the ADA accessible rooms were booked. We were provided a room with no ADA accessibility and a king size bed, which is not the double we requested. Only two of the five rooms we reserved had the double beds we requested. So we had to request cots for the other three rooms. Obviously, the single bed rooms have limited space for a full size cot. We had to have a bed for my daughter so there was no other choice. Now our room is even more limited in size for me to use my walker and scooter. The room doesn’t have the correct threshold to bring the scooter in the room like we could in Cabo and Cancun. When we went to the speak with hotel services the explanation I was given was that all rooms are booked and that ADA accessible rooms and rooms with double beds are provided on a first come first serve basis. My response to him was, “So let me make sure I’m understanding you, we booked our reservations back in February, with the assistance of a Palace Elite representative via telephone, and now that we are here we cannot receive the accommodations we requested upon booking our hotel rooms because you all are booked?…sir I want you to put yourself in my situation. Would you be okay with that as a paying member?” His response was “Sir I can’t put myself in your situation because our situations are different.” I literally walked away because the lack of empathy was disturbing and unacceptable. Then another representative said we would need to pay for a upgrade of our room for more space with no ADA accessibility in the room/bathroom. We have spoken to numerous representatives in guest services and no one seems to have an answer on how the situation can be rectified and resolved. I will not be returning to this resort ever! I will also be calling to speak with a representative at Palace Elite Resorts to advocate for other guests to plan to stay at any of their resorts. I spoke to another guest that was in a wheelchair and she was being assisted by her sister. She was dealing with the same issue and eventually she was moved to another space that still does not meet the accommodations that she needs. In addition, the transportation from the hotel was not ADA accessible for wheelchair bound individuals either. The charter buses have three large steps that have to be climbed to get on and exit the bus. If you or a family member have a disability that impacts your mobility you should stay clear of coming to this resort. Should you still decide to come make sure you speak with a manager at the resort and not a representative on the general Palace Elite reservation reservations number to ensure that you get the accommodations you need.

To the moon and back
Moon Palace was the best stay I've had in Ochi! The food cleanliness staffing and entertainment was on point! Everything was so bright and festive. The room was spacious with daily thorough housekeeping. I will definitely stay here again.

Moon Palace Jamica
Moon Palace is an stunning resort and the food is amazing. The options at the buffet were endless with the best dessert options I have ever had. Rooms are nice and clean, and the new added room at the beach is an added plus. Poolside entertainment is enjoyable.

Excellent —Everything!
Everything from the service to the entertainment was amazing! There are people and little bars all around, so just ask and they will serve you. There are also many different restaurants to eat at, along with the bakery and the buffet. There are also a lot of pools and beaches to swim at. In the water they have other activities such as water boarding and tubing. There is also a hot tub (and a warm tub) to relax in. A nice drink in the hot tub is always a nice thing to do. The food is great, with a wide range of drinks and snacks. In conclusion, I would definitely recommend this place. My children loved it.

Most enjoyable time.
We were 14 strong w/6 active kids included. Moon Palace and staff were so accommodating to us and the staff are lovely individuals. Hats off to some that stood out. Unfortunately I didn't get everyone's name. The Buffet, Sashorna for our mornings stands out as being so kind and patient with our kiddos. and making us comfortable for our start of the day. The Boulange? coffee stop off lobby. Our wonderful lady who knew after the first day our order of 4 caramel lattes and it just makes you feel good that they remember you and your order, like a regular. The gentlemen are always smiling. The Beach we had several women come around freq for drink orders or whatever you may want. Always with their beautiful smiles. The bartenders also very attentive and quick to help and putting up with the frozen virgin Pina colada for the kids. We had Ricky as our Hibachi Chef who was a lot of fun and talented. Ralph took us out for an excellent ride on a small skiff or catamaran and gave us a lesson about Jamaica history and the language spoken. Very enjoyable. The most enjoyable time was at the elegant Gondola restaurant. We went 2 nights for a most excellent meal. Sat at a gorgeous raw-edge wood table. seating us all 14. The staff of ladies put up with our exuberant children with patience and kindness. They truly show their love of children with special names and attention toward them. It was a truly special time and plans to return are already in the works. Notable to me was walking anywhere around the facility everyone smiles and greets. Need more of that in our world now.
