    Awesome family holiday

Morritt's is a great location for our extended family trip, with our adult daughter, son in law and grandchildren, 8 and 5. This is a family oriented setting, with many good social-recreational activities. Various pools, beautiful beach and a range of activities. One bedroom units are well equipped with full kitchens, deck and it is a five minute walk to a small shopping plaza, with grocery, alcohol store. There are good local restaurants nearby, with shuttle service.

Worst accommodations I've ever stayed in.

We booked this stay through RCI, which I have seen other reviews saying that RCI members aren't given the best or most updated rooms, but this was the worst room I've ever stayed in at a resort. The room looked like it hadn't been updated since the resort was built. Even though I asked for updated rooms, I was not given one. Luckily my daughters room was updated some or I would have been mortified her being in the room we had. A chip in the tiled floor the size of a baseball, paint peeling in the bathroom, rust in the bathtub area, a chipped shower handle, not to mention only a bathroom sink attached to the wall - no vanity. Also, the concrete flooring around the quiet pool has huge chips all over it. It seems like all the broken chaise lounges end up in the quiet pool. The only thing that made us stay is that it was at least clean. After talking to some other guests, we found out that the building we were in is used to house the staff that work on the property. We mentioned these issues the day of our arrival, but was told that they were completely booked up and at capacity. We told them again later at the end of our stay, when they tried to get us to buy into the property, that they should take our room off their inventory and not book it until it was renovated. The owner was in the office when we complained about our room and never said a word to us. Not an apology from the sales woman or the owner. I will not be going back to this resort!

    Stay away….they do not care

Do yourself a favor and do not stay here. My husband and I booked a stay here recently.. We arrived after dark and checked in at the front desk. We are in our 70s and my husband is in poor health. We were directed to find our room without any assistance with our luggage. We walked in the rain, wheeling our luggage over a stone path after a long day of travel. We wondered around from building to building until we were approached by a security guard who offered to help, only to find our room was on the second floor and up 17 steps!! We went to the front desk the next day and requested a more accessible room. We were told that they were booked solid with no available rooms. It was apparent that the resort was not fully occupied and this was verified by two members of the housekeeping staff, a security guard, and other guests staying there at the time. Our stay was miserable especially for me (all 115 lbs of me) who was responsible for lugging up our possessions to our room every day. We even contacted our concierge who offered to help if WE AGREED TO ATTEND THEIR TIMESHARE PRESENTATION! After we got home I sent a registered letter to the hotel manager. His response was that they were booked as we were told by the front desk. Complete LIE and he knows that to be the situation. There are other numerous complaints as well by we feel that sharing this information pales in comparison to denying appropriate accommodations for people with disabilities. Yes, Grand Cayman does have laws to protect people with disabilities. And before you ask, the hotel website mentions an elevator, or we would of requested a handicap room when we booked the stay

Nice resort on the "quiet" side of the Island

The location of the resort is good since it is right on the water, except the East End is very far from all of the activities on the Island. We were a group of 6, all over 70 and one 80 year old. and were all on the 3rd floor with many stairs. The units were nice but need some improvements: scratched floors, drawers that don't close, warped tables and no screens on the sliding doors. The staff was very friendly and helpful and had activities planned each day. All in all, a fun vacation

    Peace and quiet!

This is a great resort if you're looking for peace and quiet, getting away from the madding crowds. If you want more activity, people, shops, perhaps not, as it's about an hour's drive from Georgetown, and the 7-mile Beach / West Bay area. The staff were great, facilities more than adequate.
