    Great place

Great hotel. Grounds were clean and staff was attentive. Louis at the bell desk and maria at the kids club went above and beyond. The Nickelodeon aspect is not overwhelming so good for a family with children of multiple ages. The water slides were fun for a 7 and 10 year old.

    Awful resort

I will start off by saying, who is rating this place anything but 1-2 stars? I’m honestly in shock. I’m not one to complain, but our stay here was just awful, very long 11 days. We tried to relocate to a different hotel, but given it was peak season, everything was fully booked. The food: barely edible. We pretty much lived off of plain pasta. The service/Friendliness: non existent, except maybe 2 people. The shopping: none (very lame gift shop). Cleanliness: yes, this is where my 1 star goes to. The resort itself: barely anything to do here. There is a water park, sure, but that got very boring after the first day. There is zero nightlife, no water sports. We also had to go to the front desk multiple times to fix our room key, it kept getting disconnected. We stopped counting how many times this happened after 10 times. There were 12 of us here, kids ages range from 3-15, and we all felt the same way. We have travelled a lot in the past, been to Club Med, Dream Onyx, etc. this was by far the worst resort we’ve been to. A few positives: Orlando from the beach was incredible. He was the only bartender on the beach and served well over 50 people a day. He deserves a raise. Balcony was nice, but room are very outdated. As you can tell, we do NOT recommend this resort.

    Don't go

This hotel is overpriced and overrated. If it wasn't for the Nickelodeon brand it would be one of the worst places I've been. The kids had a very good time, but us adults not really. The beach was really dirty and the service was terrible. There aren't enough sitting for everyone and the food is far from being gourmet. I wouldn't go back even if it was for free.

    Amazing memories made!

We’ve stayed at several hotels already, and we always like to form our own opinion. I had read a lot of negative reviews before we left, so I went with no real expectations… I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel needs a bit of work, to be honest, but it’s very clean. We really enjoyed our experience. From the transfer between the airport and the hotel to check-out, everything went smoothly. We really appreciated our concierge, Jorge, who was assigned to us. He was always in a good mood, came to talk to us every day, and arranged everything we needed. He made our stay even more special. We participated in the character breakfast. We also attended a prestige presentation (which lasted 45 minutes max and was quite interesting) to receive coupons. This gave us a free character breakfast for the kids, 20% off purchases at the hotel, and discounts on excursions. It was really great. We also did the "slime time" (which is also a paid activity, but you get a free photo), and the kids (and even us) loved it. As for the food, it wasn't always "wow," but we didn't starve! The pizzas were always super good. They’re made directly in the pizza oven, and as soon as one is finished, the next one arrives! No one got sick (I had read several comments about that), but we always take precautions no matter where we go (don’t drink the water, use hand sanitizer after serving ourselves at the buffet, etc…). Although illnesses in family resorts do happen...🙂 The water park for kids is super fun, and there’s a new one just behind (a 2-minute walk) for older kids and adults (3 larger slides and a nice big pool)… always super quiet over there! The beach is very nice, but the waves are big. We could swim with red flags, but we had to stay really close to the shore. There are lifeguards everywhere on the beach and around the pool area. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. Always smiling and ready to assist us. I know the reviews are mixed, but we really enjoyed our trip!!!
