Average at best
We visited this hotel during reading week, and while it boasts beautifully maintained grounds, there are several aspects that fell short of our expectations. The resort's smaller size is a plus especially when having little kids. Our swim-up nest suite was absolutely perfect, providing a lovely retreat. However, the dining experience left much to be desired. The buffet was disappointing, and I would rate the à la carte options a modest 7/10. Although the hotel advertises its accommodations for guests with celiac disease, my nephew ended up relying solely on burger patties throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the staff did not contribute positively to our experience. Many were unfriendly, particularly at the front desk, and there was a noticeable eagerness for tips. The entertainment options were also lacking. If you’re hoping to see Nickelodeon characters like Paw Patrol or SpongeBob, you may find yourself disappointed. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel and would not consider returning.

Wonderful family resort!
As a travel agency owner, I have the opportunity to experience a wide range of resorts, and this one truly stood out. From start to finish, it was an exceptional experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome throughout our stay. Our butler, Jeans, was particularly outstanding—he took excellent care of us, securing a cabana at Aqua Nick and checking in with us regularly to make sure we were well taken care of. The food quality at the resort’s restaurants exceeded expectations for an all-inclusive experience. We especially enjoyed dining at both Moonwalker and Wok Wok. The rooms were well-maintained, and my children absolutely loved them. Additionally, I highly recommend participating in the shows and the pajama breakfast with the entire Nick crew—it’s a fun and memorable experience for the whole family.

Good bones, needs improvement
Unfortunately, this resort needs to have a management overhaul. There are plenty of shining stars during our stay, but other glaring issues. I think there is so much staff turnover and that's why service is lacking. We went on a family vacation, my husband and my friend with her two children (10, 12). We got two nest suites that were next to each other, and close to the beach. Thank you Gabriel at the front desk for sorting that out. We got in very late, so there was no wait for the front desk. We are English speakers, and sometimes it was difficult to find someone who spoke fluently. We did use Google translate a few times, and that seemed to help. The good: The beach was cleaned every morning. There was little to no seaweed. The infinity pool was large and there were lots of areas that were more quiet. Our suite was clean, we did have an issue with the balcony door, but that was fixed ASAP. The water park is fun, but they don't have enough floats for the lazy river. The three big slides are at the back, but only 2 were working the day we went. The coffee bar makes good frappes, and they had almond milk for those who are lactose intolerant. There is an arcade that we liked to go after dinner. There is wi-fi everywhere and it was pretty decent. Jesus at the buffet was a sweetheart. And so was Gladys. Francisco at the beach bar always had a smile, and Miguel was so helpful by the pool. We appreciated all the care and thoughtfulness they put into their work. We went to the main buffet for pretty much all our meals. The grill was the best part, I would always get chicken thighs and they would be tasty. The bad: Unfortunately, the service was abysmal at times. We would have to wave down servers for water or cutlery. Not all the food quality was good. They would have feta cheese, but then the Greek salad was made with mozzarella. There would be no ketchup for fries, and no salt or pepper shakers on your table. The self service coffee machine would run out of milk. There needs to be more attention to these details. It was difficult making reservations for a la carte restaurants. And there were limited chairs/bali beds everywhere and limited night entertainment. This is easy to fix, just put our more chairs on the beach! Our room keys would disconnect and we would have to go back to the front desk to sort that our. Aqua Bite had incredibly long lines for food and beverages, we had to wait 20+ min just to get water. Please provide water stations at the water park! The ugly: Our personal concierge was predatory, wanted us to stay with kids for an 1 hour long "tour" in exchange for personal sliming. They never told us that there was a mass sliming at 3pm that's free. The room service only worked the first day for us, the rest of the time the food never came. Oh and trip advisor is blocked while I was on their wi-fi there. There are so many 5 star reviews which I believe are fake. If you want to go here, please set your expectations to be average at best. The beach is not as calm as Bavaro Beach, so it's not great for little children. Everyday we stayed, it was "yellow" flag and there were no water sports. Bring your water toys if you want to, i.e. boogie boards or floaties. They are extremely expensive if you want to buy them on the beach or the resort store. I saw two characters the very last day I was at the resort. Since I had an Android phone the app did not work for me. It would be nice to see the daily activities on a board or something. (I would have checked our TV, but it was fuzzy.)

Staff are rude, tip hungry (even though tip is included), mediocre food.
Be wary, very unsatisfied guests here. We were asked to attend a sales presentation. And after saying no to that, our “PERSONAL” concierge did not arrange for the promised breakfast with characters and sliming. We were treated vary poorly by security because we wanted to leave. I have ky suitcases out the gate but he wont let me out until I check out. He was yelling at me and very aggressive and they dont even speak English, and I was really threatened. We checked out 2 days early and moved to a different hotel. The food is not good. Very aesthetic looking but thats all there is, good looking. Everything is very salty on the buffet restaurant open to anyone who didnt get reservation for the other restau. There are 4 restaurants (they advertise they have 9) that only dine for dinner, and reservation starts at 9am to 3pm, but no more slots available at 9am. And its a Monday. The resort is not even that occupied at the time. We went there for my one year olds birthday. They have a very ugly banner that they hang on the door to greet the celebrants, they promised to give that to us since were celebrating my sons birthday and some “personalized cupcakes”. The cupcakes came and was mispelled, not once but twice. And fyi, the banner never came. We didnt even asked for it they offered it because were celebrating a birthday and we ended up following up but in the 5 days we were there it never came. We didnt even want it in the first place, then we were the ones bugging them for it? Dont get me started on how the room service was very unresponsive. We have a baby that crawls the floor so we wanted room service to clean the room. We have been calling them everyday to clean and they only came on our third day. Our baby was taking a nap and we asked to to come back and the housekeeper got mad. She came back I think after she finished one room and still napping, I asked her to come back in an hour and she rolled her eyes on me. They were not very hospitable. Its very unfortunate. The building structures were beautiful, but service, food, experience was nothing good. For an all-inclusive “luxury” hotel we did not feel it! I DO NOT recommend going to this place. The worst part is all they sell in the store is super expensive. A personalized shirt with an ugly fabric is sold for 44$ for a baby and 59$ for adults. The swimsuit we got was 134$.. the massage is 250$. I bet its as worst as the rest of their service.

Food for thought
Don’t really ever write reviews, but because of the cost / value ratio on our experience I felt compelled. The resort itself is nice, have lots of activities and accommodations for the kids. The water park particularly they loved! Rooms are nice as well, but as heads up the swim up pools for the rooms are very public, which I wouldn’t want considering the added cost. The real hiccup here is the food. Unfortunately I don’t have a nice way to say it, it’s awful. Taste like fake everything, even the juice tasted like Tang from my childhood. The service also lackluster, barely could get a smile out of the wait service. Everyone seemed a bit annoyed to help. Final note is the location is bit far out to main area of Punta Cana. We got cabs few nights because of the food we ventured out for dinner, but was 40 minute ride each way. Spent over $100 each night we went out in cabs. Hope this helps anyone who is looking for their next vacation
