Got sick
It is the third time visiting Nickelodeon, this last time we had a bad experience, starting with the small details they “forgot” like asking what type of pillows you like and other amenities. But the worst of all it was the food, 6 of people of our group got sick, so bad, one had to call for a doctor. It is really disappointing, Nickelodeon was a great hotel to stay plus the park, now the service and the food is bad

Incredible Spring Break Vacation
We just returned from an absolutely amazing vacation! I was initially hesitant about booking, and I read countless reviews—including all the helpful tips from this group. Common complaints about this resort: the ocean area isn’t swimmable (we still enjoyed the beach area and dipping our feet in the ocean), the pools (except in Aqua Nick) aren’t heated, and you’ll need to take a shuttle van to and from your room. And yes the gift shop, WTF. Buy some stuffies on Amazon before your trip. If you’re okay with these things, you’ll have an incredible time—because no resort is perfect, but this one gets a lot right. Room We have three older kids (15, 11, and 9) and opted for the first-floor swim out 2-queen room—a choice I highly recommend for families like ours. Our oldest and very tall kid had no complaints about the pull-out couch, and the convenience of pool access was a huge plus. While the water in the main pool wasn’t heated, it was refreshing when the sun was hot. We brought a big pool floatie and football which were great to have. Housekeeping was excellent—our room was cleaned at the same time daily, always well-stocked with fresh towels and water, and we left a tip every day. Food & Drinks Our only real wish? One more dinner option. We weren’t fans of the Mexican buffet, so we stuck to Good Burger and Piazza—both were fantastic. The tenderloin at Piazza was a hit with my husband, and the pizza was amazing. There’s plenty of kid-friendly food everywhere, and room service was a huge novelty for our kids—fast, delicious, and available anytime. Fair warning: if your kids have a sweet tooth, brace yourself for a sugar overload—desserts at breakfast, ice cream, sprinkles, cake, cookies and every kid’s drink topped with gummy candy. Needless to say, we had some very happy kids. Meanwhile, my husband and I had our own treats—lattes from the 6th floor every morning (happy wife) and mezcal margaritas that kept flowing (happy husband). Service & Staff We never heard from the concierge, which was fine by us—no aggressive sales pitches, just a couple of polite upsell offers that we easily declined. Anytime we needed something, a quick call to the front desk took care of it. We were also frequently checked on by staff, who genuinely wanted to make sure we were happy. Everyone we encountered was friendly, attentive, and helpful. The Resort & Atmosphere This place is stunning—the design, decor, and attention to detail are incredible. If you appreciate aesthetics, you’ll love it. While shuttles are required for rooms, you can walk across the street to Aqua Nick from the lobby. The shuttles themselves are Mercedes vans that are always around. They put down clean dry towels for any waterpark guests so we never had a gross wet seat. We opted to walk a lot, and the sidewalks felt very safe, with hotel staff constantly walking and biking around. The wildlife was a highlight—we saw crocodiles, spider monkeys, and big iguanas. The resort is pristine, with workers constantly maintaining it to keep everything looking brand new. Aqua Nick This was the main reason we booked, and it absolutely did not disappoint. The level of safety and attentiveness here is unmatched—the lifeguard team is on another level, watching every square inch with precision. I even saw one dive into the wave pool to assist a child. I’ve never felt this safe at a water park, and it gave us peace of mind to let our kids explore and enjoy themselves freely. Final Thoughts If you go into this trip knowing what to expect, you’re in for an unforgettable vacation. It’s a beautiful, well-maintained resort with fantastic service, great food, and an unbeatable water park experience. Our family had an amazing time.

Asi Asi, Mas o Menos.
For 1500/night, you would expect more. Lots of issues: 1. Email said promo credit when booking....nowhere did it say must be 3 nights, so when I booked 2 nights, i thought i was going to receive a credit. It was not clear that no credit would be given to me until I asked at checkin and they told me its for minimum 3 nights. 2. Rooms are narrow. When you open up the sofa bed and murphy bed, there is 1 foot to walk to squeeze through. 3. Your "personal concierge" will try and upsell you on everything...You need to tell them to stop talking or else they keep going. Attend a 90 minute timeshare for a late checkout, personal slime, upgraded dinner, upgraded room, spa service, cabana etc. 4. On the day of checkout, we know checkout is at 11AM. We get to AquaNick when it opens at 9AM, then we go to checkout at 1020AM and tell them that we will be going to get breakfast now. Our concierge says "Its not possible" I ask why? Its still my time...Not 11AM yet and what if I like to eat later? He then reminds me I can do a 90 minute timeshare for a " late checkout". I say no and he speaks to a supervisor. Supervisor says no problem. It shouldnt have come to this. I checked out on time, I didnt eat breakfast yet, so why not make me, the guest happy after paying $1500/night? There are some good things about this resort: 1. The food is good and plentiful 2. The entertainment is good and plentiful 3. The staff are very attentive. 4. Kids loved it. Would I stay here again? Most likely no. I would do a day trip and stay elsewhere. Day passes are the same price as Xcaret, which was AMAZING.

I am writing to express my disappointment with my stay at Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts.
I am writing to express my disappointment with my stay at Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts. The room service food was unacceptable—burnt eggs and flavorless fruit. The pullout bed was not prepared upon arrival, and despite being promised a temporary room, our original room remained dirty and unfixed. The shower door didn’t close properly, causing water to spill everywhere. Staff rushed us out at checkout, despite my prepaid reservation allowing until 1 PM. When I tried to retrieve my glasses, the manager was rude and dismissive. My calls to address this issue were disconnected, and my number was blocked. This experience was frustrating and far below expectations. I request appropriate compensation for the poor service and conditions.

Tailored for the kiddos
Today is our last day here. Here's the 411: Food: Spatula is a breakfast buffet restaurant. We arrived every day around 7ish and were seated promptly. The variety was huge and tasty. Pizza place was delicious. The Tavola restaurant (reservation required) was meh. We were not impressed. Pizza and burgers at Aqua Nick were decent. There's nothing crazy to write about. Room service was pretty gross but arrived under 30 minutes. The Yacht dinner buffet was good and 2nd best to the pizza place. Room: We had the 2 queen suite with a pool. The pool was cold so the kids didn't swim in it. The room was clean and had plenty of bottled water. Excursion: It was a sporadic decision to book the catamaran and snorkeling excursion through the hotel. It was horrible. They arrived late, and then they took us to a beach and had us wait for an hour and a half. Then we went on the catamaran, which was cool. However, we paid for lunch but when we came back, the restaurant was closed so we didn't eat. I'm in the process of getting my money back for this since we paid extra for lunch. Staff: They are soooooo nice and attentive. We tipped a driver, not naming names, and he shuttled us for most of the trip. We skipped the long shuttle line, which was a plus. Omg so the wind blew my son's sandal over from the private pool and onto the next building's roof, which was not affiliated with the Nickelodeon resort. A few hours later, we received a call from the concierge and was informed they would be delivering the sandal to our room. AMAZING!! Beach: Well kept and clean even though the seaweed issues were not their fault nor in their control. The kids had a blast and will definitely come back.
