Feb 25, 2025Wonderful Experience at Occidental
We had stayed at the resort three times now. Each time our stay has been at the Royal Club. We have enjoyed the resort and staff immensely each time.

Good place for Dive & Rest
I was in Occidental Cozumel for a week, I spent most of my time diving but the hotel was good for resting and eating, I arrived with a group of divers and we bought on the website but Hector, the hotel's diving coordinator, showed up with me. He offered to give me his concierge service, which I greatly appreciated since we were a little disoriented with certain diving topics. He helped us a lot. He told us that one day he would be at the Occidental and another at the Allegro, which is from the same company. He gave us his personal number and everything flowed perfectly. I hope to return and have this great experience again.

Very nice Cook
Jared is the best Cook I really like my trip with employee like that! The hotel is clean and the food/ drink are amazing! I really like this experience, i will come back thats sure. The beach is beautiful and theres many animals. Victor and Miranda were also verry good in there job

Rough resort, the villas are in disrepair. The pool looks like it should be shut down, missing tiles everywhere. The boardwalk is totally rotten & could fall over at any moment. The beach is GONE!(Don’t fall for the old photos. The waves now crash against the lunch buffet restaurant.) Most of the staff seem nice but stuff like not getting coffee at breakfast & when you do get coffee no spoons was a daily occurrence. It feels like there’s very little capital investment going into this place. They’re probably just keeping it open until they tear it down for a new resort. Don’t waste your hard earned money here.

Great stay
This was our 5th stay at Occidental. Very good every time. Nice quiet pleasant place to vacation!! Good value in my opinion.

- AdvisorySTUDENT GROUP POLICY • 100 DOUBLE rooms IN HOUSE maximum for student groups at any given time • 25 years old and under are considered “students” for any given time • Minimum age required for check-in is 18. • A refundable deposit of $200/per person (cash or credit card) is required. Group Student bookings • Must be requested through our groups department,these groups will require a chaperon as well as the refundable deposit and all above requirements.
- AdvisoryThe Municipal Government will be charging all guests in the area of Cozumel an Environmental Sanitation Tax of a minimum $75.99 Mexican Pesos (approx. $4.00 USD) per room per night.
