Not sure i would rate it a 4 star
Had to wait 2.5 hours for room to be ready in 90+* heat. Didn't get towels in room until the evening and never a facecloth. Never changed the sheets on the bed in a one week stay. Buffet for breakfast, lunch & dinner was the same EVERY SINGLE DAY! It was horrible, everything was cold. Steakhouse was not open so only 2 restaurants italian & oriental, both were much better than buffet. Only entertainment was every 2nd night in lobby someone playing an instrument. Shuttle to get around resort never came when we called for it. Every time you stepped onto the beach someone tried to sell you something. Even in the rain. Not a resort for anyone with mobility issues, lots of uphill walking and stairs. Only replaced drinks in room fridge once. Resort needs updating.

Average Resort- Beautiful views and good food
Decent resort that could use some updating, including closing the slats on the bathrooms so bugs can't freely come in/fixing the sugar ant problems in the bathroom. On a positive note, the grounds are gorgeous, lush and green. The staff was kind and hospitable. Great drinks at the bars. Beautiful pools. Delicious food. Of note, Alot of walking and stairs to get to the rooms, so definitely not for someone that struggles to get around. I'd say overall vibe was geared towards an older crowd. Not a ton of entertainment and bummed that the pools closed early at 7pm. I would say don't spend the money on the premium room, they don't quite deliver what's promised with it unless you continuously ask (such as stocking the fridge with water/beer) Overall, we enjoyed our stay based on the views, drinks, and location. Overall value is good considering the buffet and alcohol is included.

Nice but explore other options
Beautiful, sprawling grounds. Kid free is a plus. We are 47 & 60 friends but the majority of the crowd was older than us. We stayed overlooking beach. Check in easy, except we didn’t get 2 beds as ordered so unhappy with that. Golf carts transport you. Rooms are outdated, beds are firm and things were broken. Problem with golf carts are they do not start until 7 am we had an excursion and had to walk, the walkway is steep and bricks not always stable. They do not answer the phone until after 7 either. No coffee in the front either just the one in the room. Food is just okay. Refrigerator in room had 2 sodas no water or beer. A guy we talked to time share owner said he had to buy his own gin at gas station they said 1 week before it came in. They had premium bracelets and there is zero benefit. Friendly service but not fast at all. Pool looked good, but traversing steep steps is not. jacuzzi is room temp, uh no thanks. I didn’t experience any timeshare sells. Been to Mexico 22 times, this is one of the few all inclusive in CR and they don’t know what they are doing 😂 I would byob and stay somewhere else, buy i can see It is quiet and relaxing, safe as well.

Anniversary Celebration
Not impressed with this resort. maybe a 2.5 star. Very little to do when it was raining, food in the buffet was the same every single day. You get stormed by vendors when you go to the beach. Check in process was horrible. we arrived on a red eye, couldn't get into our room for hours, only place to change out of our winter clothes was the tiny bathroom by the buffet.

Management needs to take a look at their systems and improve services
We experienced many issues at the resort, the unprofessional and rude behavior of "C" the front desk person, the seemingly targeted avoidance of providing us with basic services like water, towels, and an Internet connection in our room (when everyone else had these services) and lying to us or ignoring us on several occasions and refusing to fix the issues we reported. Saturday Check in- • No towels • No coffee • No water, soda or beer in frig- empty despite saying it was included daily • Plug by bed was inoperable (safety issue) • Another outlet has wires hanging out and not working (safety issue) • Safe locked closed- no instructions on how to open (no way to secure our valuables) • Water in shower wouldn’t stay on (safety issue as I have balance issues and couldn’t hold the water on, hold the sower bar and wash at the same time) • Lighting outside and on walkways was very dim or non existent (safety issue) • Another couple given keys to our room and came in while we were there (safety issue) • Called office 7 or 8 times in search of help on the first day • Many excuses given and told "tomorrow" for bottled water to be delivered • "C" at the front desk was rude to us when we called about people being given our room key. She was accusatory as if it were our fault for being in the wrong room. We didn't have an Internet connection for 2 days and appeared to be the only building experiencing this. It wasn't until the 4th and 5th days that we started receiving services and getting the minibar stocked with water. Quiet resort, nice staff except the front desk person. The chairs at the beach were dirty and debris thrown in trees and bushes near the beach. Not what I expect at a resort. Pools were nice and didn't have any issues getting a chair. The resort could be really nice but they need to figure out why so many customers report not receiving towels upon check in and the minibar isn't stocked. Many report a broken safe as well. Racoons on the property and they are not afraid to come on our porch. Curious fellas. Would love to have had a printed schedule of events and regular nightly music or shows. The sax player was great. Beds were a bit hard. You pretty much have to use their tour company as others will not come to the resort. Larry with the tour company was FANTASTIC. JJ told us we would be swimming in waterfalls on our excursion but that wasn't the case. Seems he isn't familiar with the tours and has not been on any. Larry made up for the fact we didn't receive what we purchased. He gave us a lot of history and stories about the area as we drove to our destination.
