One Love Jamaica
The resort could be a 5 star easily. When you arrive they really push the welcome breakfast ( meeting) . We said , No thanks but we're asked several times. The room (privileged) was nice. The bed was a king but hard. The restaurants were good . We dined at the privileged restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner several days. The jerk chicken was amazing. Mike's coffee shop was the best loved the cappuccino, pastries and cold drinks. We did the Luminous Lagoon which was very fun The beach on the privileged side is nice , no rocks , smaller but does go out 5 -6 feet deep and clear. The Ocean Coral family side beach did not look great. We stayed on the privileged side but was very windy most days. Drinks at the lobby bar were fantastic . Privileged gets you top shelf Grey Goose, Patrone etc. The resort is pretty compact so very ac accessible . The night shows were meh. We had a beautiful view of the ocean block 2 - room 2432 amazing view. Overall a great week ! FYI Have your hubby go reserve your chairs at pool for the best spots .

Beach is unswimmable!
Beach is NOT SWIMMABLE because it is all rocky past the .5 meter sandy shore. There are nice beaches nearby, like 867 and Blue Waters however you need to take a taxi. Outdoor bars close at 5 and 6 pm, so good luck getting a late afternoon refreshment. Rooms were nice, the beds were very GOOD and huge. Room service only works if you call back repeatedly.

Nowhere Near 5-Star
We just got back from our stay at this resort, and honestly, it was a major disappointment. Expedia's 5-star rating is totally misleading. The place is falling apart - broken and missing tiles, ripped furniture, rusty steel counter at the swim-up bar and so much more. The timeshare sales team was super aggressive, always approaching us around the lobby and calling our room. We’re not looking to be harassed when we’re paying you thousands on our vacation. What really got our attention was some of the staff's behavior. We found a few bartenders to be clearly intoxicated witch isn’t a big deal but what was really concerning was one employee from the Daisy Club seemed drunk at the movie night, grabbing kids and adults by the arm and asking us to get her drinks. Her coworker apologized, but it was still super disturbing so we didn’t stay long and never sent our kids back. We will say most of the employees we met were awesome - friendly, hardworking, and really trying to make our stay enjoyable. The restaurant and buffet staff were particularly great, and the food was good (although we found a few things undercooked). We also loved some of the resort's amenities, like the bowling alley and family lounge. They were great additions to our stay. It would be nice to have the theatre shows start earlier for families with little kids. It would've been awesome if they had daytime movie screenings (especially on rainy days). The sports bar was also a letdown - no food options? All in all, our stay was pretty meh. We’ll strongly consider going back to using travel agent with real experience of a resort. Expedia needs to get real with its ratings, and this resort needs to fix its many issues. Until then, travelers, beware! *Pros* 1. Nice resort size 2. Good dining options (buffet, restaurants, room service, burger bar, jerk shack) 3. Convenient wristband keycards 4. Friendly staff (mostly) 5. Well-maintained beach 6. Good amenities (family lounge, bowling, waterpark) 7. Late night food (Route 66 open till 6am) *Cons* 1. Resort appears worn and beat up 2. Aggressive timeshare sales 3. Kids club staff don't engage kids 4. Some employees are intoxicated 5. Inconsistent drink preparation 6. Poor housekeeping 7. Uncomfortable pillows 8. Main pool is too big (limited bar/washroom, scarce sun chairs/umbrellas) 9. Limited amenities in waterpark area (small limited bar, no music) 10. Beach (small, shallow, rocky) 11. Hot tubs aren’t heated, jets don't work 12. Limited pool service 13. Small and limited garbage cans 14. Late-starting shows (9:30pm) 15. Lazy river has no current 16. No steakhouse restaurant

Don't go
The room was not the ocean view we reserved. It faces horses, construction, and an ATV track. There were dishes left in the entrance to our building for five days. Our room had patches all over the bathroom. Food was very good but there was a thirty minute wait to get in . At one restaurant they served my wife and I and forgot the children. The noise was so loud I couldn't read near the pool or in my room. The beach was extremely small and shallow. You could not swim in it. Staff at the teen club and ice cream stand were extremely rude to my Autistic son. Unless you upgrade your vacation you can't get top shelf liquor. The bars are never fully stocked. I couldn't get a bloody Mary in the morning. THIS IS BY FAR NOT A 3 STAR RESORT.

Will Not Return
While the resort itself is quite lovely and the service employees (wait staff, bar tenders, life guards, cleaning staff) are excellent we will never go back to this resort. The lobby staff (check in and customer service) were very unhelpful and in one case rude and unconcerned about guests. I have never left a bad review before and part of me was not sure I was going to follow though this time but I was made to feel inadequate and stupid by one of the customer service employees. He lectured me quite sternly because my pool towel was stolen while I was in the rest room. Constantly reminded me that I was told during check in that it was my responsibility and I would be charged $30 for the loss (theft) of the towel. There are many choices of where to stay when in Jamaica, I would suggest you look elsewhere.
