    A great stay!

    So nice and clean, the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was spacious and it was nice to have a balcony of our own although I think next time we'd treat ourselves to our own swim area. We enjoyed the Adults Only area. Would recommend you ask for the quiet pool area unless you want to hear thumping music all day. It was fine as long as we were in the other adult pool which was more relaxing. Most of the food was good as were the restaurants.

    Stephany animation crisel bar went above and beyond. The most friendly staff member we had the pleasure of meeting. She is outstanding!! We loved her and she made our trip so much better! I would come back just to see her! Thank you! Nothing but love!

    Ocean el Faro

    Resort is very nice, pool and beach are great, the upgrade to privilege is a must, all the staff are helpful, housekeeping is slow to respond so couldn't give a 5, our privilege butler Deiby Santana was fantastic, kept us up to date on resort happenings and was incredibly responsive to any issues we had including meeting me to get floats Inflated. He is a 5 star and we will be requesting him when we visit again

    Overall a really wonderful holiday!!

    Visited (from UK) the last week of March and really impressed by the grand lobby, the gardens and friendliness of staff on arrival. Our room was far end of resort near the beach which was perfect and paid £60 more for pool facing which was worth it for a nice view of the lazy river! This did mean we were furthest away restaurants etc but we enjoyed the walking and there were always buggies passing for people to hop on if they wanted. We were offered the privilege upgrade of course but didn’t pay and don’t feel we were worse off. Yes I’m sure there are benefits however as a couple between 35-40 we still had a great time!! Food options in main buffet are endless, and after reading many reviews I was nervous of the food however I couldn’t agree with many of the complaints. Constantly refreshed, plenty of choice and didn’t encounter any cold food - but they even provide a microwave to heat your food as it’s personal preference! We visited Mike’s coffee shop daily for a coffee and this was amazing! However always queue as it’s so popular so maybe more team in there at peak times would have been useful! A la carte restaurants were great and our concierge Angel was fantastic in helping us book them and also updating us on the entertainment for the day. Definitely recommend Blue Moon (adults only - short rib and lamb were delicious) and the Japanese was great fun! Italian mediocre but plenty of choice for everybody. Room was always cleaned well daily, slight inconsistency with towels but wasn’t a drama and I’m sure would resolve quickly. We had a problem with our safe not opening and guest services sent someone very quickly to resolve it which we were happy about. The grounds were constantly kept well as were the pools so always clean. Plenty of sun beds around the pool - we would get there around 8.30am and by 9 still plenty to use. Didn’t sunbathe at the beach but visited the lagoon just to the left of the hotel which is definitely worth it for a swim! I mention from the UK on purpose as we have different expectations regarding service - yes it would be a little slower at times but considering how busy breakfast lunch and dinner can be, and we’re on holiday in no major rush it wasn’t an issue. Overall really really loved our stay and would go back for sure!! Suited us as couples but plenty for families as well.

    Ocean El Faro Vaction

    My experience was a pleasant one. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and there were plenty of activities. The wait staff at the restaurants were all wonderful and so were the bar tenders. The reason I gave a 4 out of 5 was because of some issues with house keeping. Something’s we had to request more than twice. As for our Butler Deiby Santana, he was excellent. He was helpful and was always available when we needed him. It didn’t matter what time it was, he was there to make sure our stay was enjoyable.
