Almost perfect!
Everything was perfect but they made me pay for transfer even when in the website it says it’s free airport transfer. The food is not bad and the service is very good. Accommodation is very good. The beach is beautiful and not so full. Muy bueno!

Hotel El Faro
The experience was great but I want to start out saying that we were scammed. We purposely booked here for the free transfer that they advertise as soon as you open their website. It’s a free airport transfer to and from the airport and they made us pay (I paid $150 just to get to the hotel) Besides that the experience was great, I thought everything was really clean. The service was amazing, every staff member I met was very nice. It was a great experience that unfortunately had a con of being scammed of the airport transfer.

Relaxing vacation
This resort is beautiful and entertainment staff (Bryan) is awesome BUT there is very little service or attention provided as i’m accustomed to at all inclusive resorts - service at restaurants to bring drinks or clear tables is lacking, limited alcohol selections and no ability to make reservations easily. Food is better at buffet… don’t even bother with restaurants. Shows are below average talent. However, Rooms are clean and a/c works well!! Beach by adult only section is perfect, the rest is all waves and not swimmable. Hope this helps someone.

Would not recommend this hotel for anyone wanting quiet
Hotel was big, lots of walking. The food was terrible, cold and poor quality the same every night. Restaurants that you book exactly the same. Very little staff in the Restaurants and pool bars service takes a long time and cleaning of tables even longer.

We keep coming back!
Our fifth trip to Ocean El Faro was a great one. So much so, we extended our trip an additional 5 days. Stayed 19 in total. This is a beautiful resort, but the staff is what keeps us coming back. Each year, we see many of the same employees and that says a lot about the management of this resort. I'd like to give a shout out to some of our favorite employees, the ones we look forward to seeing year after year. First off, our butler, and friend, Alexander DeLerosa. Alexander is the cherry on top of a fabulous vacation. He makes sure we have everything we need, and we are so grateful for his service. Year after year. Thank you, Alexander. We have breakfast in the El Beso buffet almost every morning, and were greeted by many of our favorite people when we arrived again this year. I am probably spelling her name wrong (forgive me) but Mariokly, Carmen, and Issac are always smiling, happy to see us and are so accommodating. We LOVE our chef friends in this building also. Our friend, the omelet chef (sorry to have forgotten his name, he is there year after year). Joel also needs to be recognized. Always smiling, always happy. The Lobby and Piano bar are our favorite places to grab a drink before dinner. We look for Hector, Carlos, or Tomas. These three gentleman sure know how to make a drink and they are so friendly and inviting. Oh, and we can not forget Luis (on the a.m. shift). I have watched Luis grow. The first time I met him was several years ago, at OBS. Luis was in training to begin at OEF. Luis has come a long way as a bartender, and we are proud of him and always look forward to seeing him when we return. Of course the beach and the pool are our favorite vacation spots! We are so well taken care of in both of these areas as well. A big thank you to Markenedy in the beach privilege section. Also, to Dauris at the beach bar! Gotta love that guy! Taking care of us "every 5 minutes!" Javier at the ElBeso pool, is a wonderful human, and Ocquada, and Naomi the servers at the pool are fabulous too! We enjoyed massages, hydrotherapy, and a lovely pedicure at the spa. I forgot the receptionist name, but she is a sweetheart and is always so accommodating. Let us not forget our favorite entertainer from the Blue Team.... Wanda. We love seeing Wanda back again. She is so much fun, keeps everyone laughing, and makes everyone feel included. Just a couple of things that we would like to see improved for our next trip in 2026. The beds, and chairs in the privilege section closest to the lagoon are in need of an overhaul. I know they take a beating with the sun and rain and it looks like it. We weren't crazy about the new check in procedure. Standing in line at the desk as a privilege member wasn't great. We enjoyed having a place to sit where we were brought a cool towel and beverage. The process was quick, but seemed less personal. As members of H10 Premium we use, and enjoy our benefits very much. We look at Ocean El Faro as a second home for the bitter cold months, and we will continue to return as we see improvements each year we return. Hasta el ano que viene mis amigas! Que Dios los bendiga.
