Apr 03, 2025A Fantastic Stay at Ocean Maya Royale!
Our stay at Ocean Maya Royale was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed by the warm and friendly staff, but the true highlight of our trip was the incredible daytime entertainment team—especially Kenddell. Kenddell’s energy, humor, and hospitality made every day so enjoyable. We had the best laughs with him, and his ability to connect with guests on a personal level was truly special. He remembered everyone’s names and made each person feel valued. On the days he wasn’t there, his absence was definitely felt by both us and other guests—he is that much of a difference-maker! Kenddell is a true asset to the resort, and in our opinion, he deserves a promotion and more recognition for the joy he brings to everyone’s stay. Beyond the fantastic entertainment, the resort itself was immaculate, and the entire staff was wonderful. The food at this resort was also fantastic! Every meal was delicious, with plenty of variety to suit all tastes. From the buffet to the specialty restaurants, we were impressed with the quality and presentation of every dish. A special mention also goes to Octavio at the bar—his drinks were amazing, and he always made sure we were taken care of with a smile. JoJo, the server, was equally fantastic, providing excellent service and making our dining experiences even more enjoyable. These two truly went above and beyond to enhance our stay. We also loved meeting so many great people, some of whom we know will be lifelong friends. If you’re looking for a resort that combines relaxation, fun, excellent service, and amazing food, Ocean Maya Royale is the place to be. We can’t wait to return!

Apr 02, 2025Butler and beach were bad but the rest was very good
We enjoyed our vacation here for the food, the cleanliness of the resort and the professional and friendly staff. We paid extra for Privilege level and did not feel we got our money’s worth in terms of the butler service. We were never introduced to our butler even after asking to meet him. We communicated only through What’s App which left us having to send numerous texts trying to get dinner reservations. Eventually we had to get out of the pool and go up to the front desk and book our own reservations which defeats the purpose of having paid for a butler service. We had to chase down any perk we were entitled to. Not a good butler experience at all. Why we were not assigned a butler upon checking in was a mistake by the hotel that caused the rest of our week to be filled with unnecessary agitations. The whole check in process was not a good first impression. We have upgraded to Privilege at other resorts many times including at Ocean Eden Montego Bay last year. Never have we had the Privilege building so far from the ocean and pools. Does not make sense to pay extra to be so far away? The seaweed was awful (see pics). I know they cannot control weeds but communication on their website would have been helpful as we only booked 2 weeks ago. Evidently 2025 is one of the worst years. Unswimmable and very smelly. We did enjoy the pools and did find the Privilege dining room very good and enjoyed the a la carte restaurants very much. Staff are very well trained and very professional. Bartenders work very hard at all bars. Our room was cleaned very well everyday

Best vacation ever
The entertainment crew at Ocean Maya Royale are what makes this resort a place that I will return to. I would like to give a special shout out to Kenddell, honestly if it was not for him the resort would not be what it is. He is a whole vibe, he made my vacation so much fun! Management should consider giving him a raise, in all honesty it felt like he was my best friend, he engaged everyone to participate in the activities such as water aerobics and foam party. Funny story, he mispronounced my partners name (Teddy) and it sounded like ‘daddy’ so that was his new name for the rest of the week, and Kenddell made him a personalized bracelet with his new handle! The other entertainment crew was great as well, but this personalized experience was just so amazing and wonderful. The food was SO good, room service is available during lunch and until I think 10pm for non privelege members at no extra cost. The buffet had a huge variety. Lots of different meats, pasta station, fresh breads, lots of fresh fruits. The drinks were amazing, the bartenders were always attentive and made pretty much anything you can think of to request. Try the espresso martini! Mango daiquiri were so good too. The rooms were large and clean. The minifridge was restocked daily. There is a lot of wildlife, we saw deer and those monkey/raccoon looking things (couti?) and I brought treats for Poncho, the cat that resides at the Italian restaurant area. We definitely will be back, as long as Kenddell remains as part of the team there. Otherwise I will follow him wherever he goes ;) Thank you for such an amazing holiday

Hotel is clean and tidy Staff are friendly and welcoming Kendell at the activity pool is a great guy, he is the best part of the team and activities Food is ok / average Breakfast is probably the best meal Slightly disappointed with the food to be honest

Great All Inclusive for My First Time in Mexico!
My boyfriend and I spent a week here and had a great time! It was my first time at an all-inclusive resort and they did not disappoint. The staff were all super friendly, the food was good at each restaurant, the room was clean and nice, and pools and beach were great! We had privilege services and our butler was super helpful throughout the week. Would recommend!
