Highly recommend!
This hotel is definitely unique among all that Nassau has to offer. We specifically looked for a place that would be quiet and peaceful, away from the noise and clamor of the downtown area. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and we found the room to be clean and comfortable. The views are spectacular from the windows and balconies. It is a short walk down a hill to get great food and go walking on the beach. Would highly recommend to anyone seeking peaceful sleep, unhurried atmosphere and just pleasant surroundings. The one caveat is that one must either rent a car or take taxi/shuttle service whenever a trip to town or excursions are warranted.

Excellent hotel for an overnight stay in Nassau
Excellent hotel for an overnight stay in Nassau, due to it's proximity to the airport. If you want to visit town, though, you might prefer a hotel with a more central location. Furniture is not new, but very well maintained. It would be nice to have coffee in the room, as well as perhaps complimentary water bottles instead of $3 per.

Gorgeous hotel, helpful staff, quiet and comfortable
My husband and I, both seniors, very much enjoyed our stay. It’s a beautiful place, a former estate home, with Italianate design and many gorgeous design touches. We stayed in the Sapphire room, which has a king bed. Just note that if you want to walk to nearby places, the hotel is at the top of a hill, and the walk back up was a bit challenging for us (but it we did it, several times!) The restaurant just down the road, Sapodilla, was wonderful. Also the Cafe Channing Noelle, is a lovely cafe, bakery, and tea room, about a 10-15 minute walk, in the Caves Village. The Ocean West staff were all very helpful and welcoming.

A great experience!!!
More than just a hotel, it’s a wonderful experience. 17th century Italian styling, mixed with a fabulous setting. Excellent breakfasts on-site, and restaurants are a pleasant walk away. Their Airport pick-up/drop-off service is highly recommended.
