    Pretty good

We travelled with two other couples. Very cute hotel. The food was good but could have more variety …. Our room was spacious, quiet (faced the tennis courts) and very clean. This hotel is situated right on the ocean so beach front is very windy. The hotel had large umbrella’s over sun chairs that kept blowing away or breaking material away. A couple of days it was so windy umbrellas couldn’t be used. The hotel needs a better structure than umbrellas. There were many families here with small children … in my experience there was very little activities or space for children…I wouldn’t recommend this hotel in that regard.

Worst Mexican resort I’ve ever stayed

I’ll start by saying we’ve been to Mexico well over a dozen times. It’s our favorite vacation spot. This is the only resort we’ve ever stayed that I considered changing resorts half way through. It’s also the only resort we’ve ever been to where the food was barely edible, and it made me sick. It’s so bad that I feel compelled to write a review while we are still here. I’m that angry. The photos on trip advisor are all prior to 2019 and very outdated. Oleo’s social media makes this place look swanky but it’s at best a 2.5/3 star hotel. Everything is run down and dirty. There was trash floating in one of the pools (see pic). If it’s this dirty and run down in the public space I’d hate to see the kitchen. No wonder I got sick. Our shower in the room was hit or miss with hot water. The room thermostat is preprogrammed and you can’t change it. Ours stayed on 25°C/75°F the entire time despite setting it lower. Maintenance came and was the one that told us we can’t change it we just have to keep the window curtain shut to prevent the sun from heating up the room. The mini fridge also never got above luke warm in temp. The clientele is very trashy, which is why this place shockingly gets good reviews. Low standards. The staff is decent. They were the only highlight. The buffet restaurant is awful. It’s like fast food or food you’d get at a gas station. I stopped eating breakfast there and went to the coffee shop instead (doesn’t have food but the espresso is good). Italian restaurant is ok. The Asian restaurant is not great, like your local cheap Chinese takeout place at home. Those are your only options. The good news is you’re right across the street from or a short car ride away from offsite restaurants if you want to get a better meal elsewhere. But that defeats the purpose of all inclusive doesn’t it? The beach is decent but again doesn’t look anything like pics.

    I HIGHLY RECOMMEND OLEO.

They did very nicely. Isabel and Josefin did a very nice job. NICE RESORT. W ill definitely come again Highly recommend. The whole staff at the resort made the experience excellent. Will come again next year. The margaritas were excellent. The food was good. A great all around small resort. Much better than a large impersonal, one.

Not really a 4-star resort, but clean

This resort is pretty small, but it is “boutique”. It’s clean and the rooms are white, clean and beautiful. Bed wasn't super comfortable. The ocean view from our room’s balcony was unmatched. The pool area was gorgeous and a fun place to hangout as well. Food by the pool was good, but man, the food in the restaurant was pretty bad. The Japanese restaurant was almost inedible. I didn’t have high expectations as always for mid tier all-inclusives, but this is no good. I think I’d pay a little more to stay at a place with better food, but then again, all-inclusives usually have sub-par food unless you’re staying at a 5-star. I would recommend this for the price and budget, but if you can afford to upgrade to a better resort, definitely do.

    Oleo is fantastic!

We chose Oleo as part of a WestJet vacation package. Best decision ever! I have never been at a resort where all the staff were so uniformly excellent - genuine, friendly, helpful, kind. The food was great, and I was really impressed with how clean everything was at all times. This is not a party hotel, so don’t book here if that’s what you’re looking for. But if you want gorgeous views and exceptional service choose Oleo! Special shout outs to Stephanie and Mauricio in reception who went over and above more than once to help us - we will remember their patience and assistance.
