25 th anniversary
We had a great time touring the island and a dinner cruise. The employees are outstanding. They always greet you . The concierge was a great help with arranging transportation for us. The buffet food was very good and tasty. We would recommend this hotel to all our friends.

Worth visiting
Nice place, spacious rooms, ample balcony space for 2 or 3 people. Select an ocean front view and enjoy the scenery of the beach and ocean on your balcony if that is your preference. On site self-serve laundry if you need it. Beach was nice and sandy. Close to Whalers village shopping area, a walk on the boardwalk along the beach. Maui is not as high traffic as Oahu and more enjoyable for that purpose. Car Valet service was nice and worked well. MJ-U was our housekeeper and did a nice job with our room on a daily basis. I don't know if all the rooms get that treatment daily, based on the handout check in sheet we received. Suggestions, if they had complimentary beach chairs to sign out daily that would be an added touch to take on a day trip or sit on the on-site beach. Also, the breakfast buffet is a bit steep in price, which we never tried. If they had a bed and breakfast inclusive, say for $256 a week for a couple or family, that may be more enticing. Some of the hotels in that section are pretty expansive to navigate walking around for what I could see.

Beautiful Hotel on Kaanapali Beach
We love the Outrigger Kaanapali Beach Hotel. This is a great hotel right on Kaanapali beach. The staff is exceptional from the front desk check in to housekeeping. We had stayed here last year and when we decided to return there was no question we would go back to the Outrigger KBH. We had a premium ocean view room with a balcony that showed us sunrise and sunset each day. I would highly recommend it.

Wonderful and friendly resort!
I love Outrigger. I have a newly renovated “signature” ocean view room. The room itself is so pretty and extremely clean. I love the art and the furnishings. I booked a great package that feels like a real value: 25 percent off the renovated rooms and $100 off 2 activities. That saved me a lot of money. I used my coupons to go whale watching and watched the sunrise from Haleakala. I also got a coupon for a free boogie board and free visit to the Maui Discovery Center. The grounds are pretty and have plenty of lawn chairs and hammocks to use with shade options. There are no free beach chairs or umbrellas-that’s extra. When I used the beach I set myself up on the lawn and went back and forth which worked fine for me. Whales Village is next door with nice restaurants and shops. Parking is $25 a day which is cheaper than other hotels. One odd thing is that some of the floors in the garage are paved w something that causes loud tire squeaking. I can hear it in my room with the door closed. They need to repave it. It’s not a deal breaker-I’d still stay here again. If you looking to save money on food for dinner, there is a food truck park with about 10 food trucks about 2 miles from here. There is a big mixture of different food types and it’s all very good. There are plenty of picnic tables to sit at and you would be supporting local businesses which I like. The housekeeping staff is fabulous and even let me borrow 2 blankets for my trip to cold Haleakala! Overall I’ve really enjoyed Outrigger and would return!

5 star resort and room service
Direct access to the beautiful beach, close to the popular restaurants, and picturesque views of the greenery all around. The rooms were spacious and clean, and room service was top tier. Lyn, our host, always greeted us with a smile. She’s super sweet and friendly and went above and beyond to clean and organize our rooms. I’ve never stayed in a hotel where the room was cleaned so meticulously and our stuff organized so well… It made for a wonderful stay.
