    Got to visit!!!

    The Veranda restaurant was great!! Beautiful outside views and various entertainment! Cannot say enough of the staff , bartenders, cooks and servers. Just like our family!! Be sure to visit this group. Very relaxing and so reasonable. Not to miss. Cathy and Phil North Carolina

    Ok for one night before cruise.

    We stayed one night before our cruise. I would probably give a rating of 3+. Pros: Quick check in. Decent size room, with a balcony. The bed was comfortable. We ordered dinner in the bar, as we weren't hungry for a full meal. The sandwich we had was very good. Breakfast the next morning was also good. The kitchenette in our room was fairly new and looked nice. The refrigerator had an ice maker, which I loved since I fill my water bottle with ice each morning, so I can have cold water all day. Cons: We took cold showers in the morning, due to no hot water. The water pressure was poor. The bathroom was in need of updating. The toilet wouldn't flush late at night, but since we were ready for bed, we didn't want to call maintenance. (When we did call in the morning, he came pretty quick to solve the issue.) No rack to set luggage on. Very hard to control the temperature in the room. It was either too cold, or too warm. No happy medium. Overall, it was ok for one night, but I wouldn't want to stay longer than that.

    Worst hotel stay ever!

    This is probably the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Since the room was booked through Windstar Cruises we thought it would be nice, but we were as wrong as can be!!! Our room was the worst room in the place. It was located up a stairway from the open patio and constantly noisy, including a steel drum band playing just below the stairway. The balcony had a beautiful view of the Atlantic....very windy but nice, however, it was directly over a large plastic roof that covered a bar area and the plastic snapped all night long. The bed was lumpy and furniture very outdated. The TV didn't work at all as the Dish Network they use there had not been updated, and the air conditioner blew in our faces all night long. We kept having to turn it off and on all night to keep the room cool and still get some sleep. The bathroom was nice and the shower was hot, the only decent point. The front desk staff was not friendly at all and seemed to be disgusted with everyone. This property is more of a time-share place than a hotel. Very disappointed!!!!

    Some things to beware of....

    Room was comfortable with a view of Oyster Bay. Beach was nice. Service Staff were friendly. Ancillary staff were indifferent. Beware of tips being added to any bills at the restaurants. Make sure you have EVERYTHING before you checkout. We realized within an hour that we left something behind. The room had not yet been cleaned, but our items were already gone. I can only assume that someone with a key accesses every room after checkout quickly to swoop in and gather valuables left behind.

    Never again

    We arrived at the hotel at 1:00. The lobby was packed with people. There are not enough staff cleaning the rooms or they are very disorganized. Finally got a room at 4:30. Some arrived earlier had to wait 6 hours for a room. Forget about asking. All you get is “the check in time is 4 pm” like a record. My husband and I were sick. We asked for a quiet room. What did we get a room overlooking the main lounge it courtyard with the music blaring. Never again will I come back.
